5 /5 E L: One of the best restaurants in Tallahassee. I love the aesthetics of the place, esp. how they have wood booths that provide more privacy than most restaurant booths. It makes the experience there much more intimate. I also loved the long bar they have and the color pattern of tile on the floor. It gave the place the feel of a building that has been there for over a hundred years.
Most restaurants will start off with bread on the table. At Teds, they do something more unique. They provide you with sliced cucumbers that seem to have been soaked in salt water. My wife loved them, I didnt. But apparently its a thing here. We started off with the bison nachos, which were excellent. For my entree, I had their bison brisket with kale salad. It was delicious. The service was great as well.
This place can be a pain to get into if you are traveling south on Capital Circle (US-319) and trying to make a left turn. When traffic is busy, you may have to wait a very long time to make the left turn to Village Green Way. Instead, make a left from Capital Circle to Raymond Diehl Rd, then a right at Village Green Way. Using a traffic light to make that left turn can really save you during busy traffic times.
