4 /5 Ricci Woods: We’ve heard great things about this restaurant ever since moving to Palm Coast six months ago, so it was finally time to give it a try. It’s located directly across the street from Flagler Beach, and if you’re lucky enough to snag a bar seat or a high-top table near the front, you’re treated to ocean-view dining.
We sat at the bar and were greeted promptly. The bartender was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. One small downside was that the bottled beer wasn’t very cold, which was a bit disappointing.
That said, the food truly shined. The raw oysters might just be the best on Flagler Beach—absolutely fresh and delicious. The mussels were amazing and cooked perfectly, and from what we can tell, they may be one of the only places around that even offers them. A definite must-try.
The buffalo shrimp had a lot of potential. The shrimp were a great size and fried nicely, but they were drenched in sauce, which overpowered the flavor and made the breading soggy fairly quickly. A lighter hand with the sauce would really elevate this dish.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back to try more items we spotted on other tables, including the peel-and-eat shrimp, twin lobster tails, salmon fish dip, and crab legs. We’re looking forward to our next visit!
