5 /5 Joseph Paparella: A fantastic new addition to Henry’s Depot! The Bait & Hook has taken over the former Current Seafood space and is serving surprisingly high-end seafood for a small food stall. Their menu covers everything from sushi and appetizers to salads and Sandos, with an obvious focus on freshness and quality.
We both ordered the Fish Sando, made with freshly caught Florida Lane Snapper. Mine was panko-coated and fried and it was perfectly crisp and golden, topped with Carolina-style coleslaw on a toasted potato bun. My wife had hers blackened, with lettuce, tomato, onion, tartar sauce, fries, and a house pickle spear. She upgraded to Nashville Fries with blue cheese and a spicy sauce which she thought was definitely worth it. My seasoned fries were thick, crisp, and delicious.
They take food allergies seriously, with gluten-free options clearly marked. You order, give your number, and they text when it’s ready. We grabbed beers from The Basin and played cribbage while waiting.
Friendly people, great food, and an awesome addition to the Depot. Highly recommend!
