4 /5 Wander Around: Fun little restaurant in downtown Melbourne. I would go back just for the mimosa flights which were delicious. The food is okay. I got the flight of pancakes which came out in 3 jars. Very pretty but hard to eat and it was all sickening sweet. The pancakes themselves were tough. The grits were okay but the cheese wasnt melted. Im going back but Ill try the omelets next time. You can get breakfast until the close.

They were incredibly accommodating while hosting a large group from the Brevard County Women Social Club, and everything from start to finish was phenomenal. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend supporting this amazing small business—especially for group gatherings. We’re already looking forward to coming back and hosting another fun event here. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire Roots Restaurant Tavern team! I called ahead to arrange a birthday breakfast for my mom, and Jen, who works there, went above and beyond. She reserved a cozy window table, decorated it with a birthday sign, balloon, and even placed the fruit bouquet I had delivered right at her spot. The personal touch and care were extraordinary. My mom had the shrimp and grits and couldn’t stop raving about it. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, and the grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned true Southern comfort on a plate. Jen treated my mom like family. In fact, she said it herself: “I always treat customers how I’d want my family to be treated.” That’s rare, and it makes this place truly special. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a great breakfast in Melbourne!

5 /5 Tiva Leser: I loved the food options and mimosa flavor flights. We loved the pancake flights too. The chicken and waffles my daughter ordered were amazing. She loved it. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was very nicely seasoned. My husband got a veggie scrambler. He enjoyed it too. The service was great. The waitstaff was very attentive. The ambiance was really nice and decor was on point.
