1 /5 Toby Brewer: Lost Reservation, No Apology, Very Poor Management Response.
My family has been staying at the hotel that owns this restaurant for weeks and we’ve eaten here several times out of convenience, not because the food is good.
On New Year’s Eve, the hostess told us our reservation had been lost and asked us to leave. This was upsetting for my elderly parents. After some discussion, we were allowed to sit at an empty table.
Instead of apologizing for the mistake, the manager approached us in a confrontational and aggressive way, singled out my mother, and told us we would need to leave because they had “found” the reservation for 8:45. His tone was inappropriate and unprofessional, especially toward elderly guests.
At that point, we canceled the reservation because the experience had already been ruined. A manageress then told my father we would still be charged a cancellation fee despite the restaurant losing the reservation in the first place.
Many of the staff are friendly and doing their best, but management behavior like this completely overshadows that. Combined with consistently poor food quality, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in Fort Lauderdale. We will not return.
