I had some damage done to my raptor and not only did A Choice Automotive fix it for a fair price but I was surprised in a good way about what happened next. I asked the owner if he could install some flood lights on the truck to spruce it up and surprisingly, not only could he do it for a fair price, he had some great ideas for other additions, such as a snorkel which helps with fuel efficency and the flooding we sometimes get in Florida. He knew I like to drive my truck off-road so he recommended some spare gas cans in case of an emergency which have already come in handy when my friends car broke down from being out of gas. The list of services he was able to provide blew me away. Decals, vinyl wraps, paint jobs, accessories, tire racks, painted calipers and on and on. When A Choice Automotive was finished with my truck, it not only added tremendous resale value to my truck but it also gave me a vehicle that I felt proud to drive. It gave the truck its own distinct personality. All from the brilliant mind of this legendary mechanic. If you ever need any work done to a vehicle, there is no one else you should consider taking it to. A+ rating 10/10 best mechanic around.

Robert Brink Andras diagnosed the problem with my 2010 Mazdas air conditioner: The compressor was shot because a belt broke. I asked if I could buy the part at a used parts store to save money, and he gave me a card with an online parts supplier which, he said, would charge much less. I printed the parts page, and he advised me on which brand and the components to order. I was able to have it shipped to his shop. He installed it while I waited, and the AC is running smoothly now. A pleasant experience from a competent, honest auto repair business in Clearwater, Florida.

James Chris Good people, but they dont know torque specs and basically ruined my car over tightening my transmission mount bolts. Way too tight to unbolt and stripped out multiple main studs causing serious issues and rendering my car unusable until I can remove my transmission again.

They let you know of other issues just in case you want to fix everything all at once but they only fix what’s causing your actual problem for bringing it in. They are fair in price as well. I will definitely bring my car here for any other repairs and refer others to them as well. Thank you for being an honest business because there aren’t very many places these days that have honest mechanics.

Michele P. I was referred to Charlies a couple of years ago by a neighbor. Every time I go there I have a good experience. Most recent was last week when I got a brake job to all 4 brakes. Brought it in in the morning, ready by afternoon, and they did an excellent job. When I had a question I brought it back and they checked it out and told me what was going on. They explained it very well and didnt make me feel like I was ignorant, just uninformed. They are always very friendly when I go in, interested in what I tell them, and the service is always great. Prices are reasonable. What more could one want in an automotive service? As a note; I am an older woman and it is sometimes difficult to find a reliable mechanic. Im very happy with these guys. They are local, and are real people, neighbors and friends. Highly recommend.

I know the BMW dealership would have had a way different outcome.

Justin Russo I recently have met and hired Ed, and his brother Arlan, to complete 2 jobs... One of the jobs was an exhaust system repair, and the other was an A/C repair. Both times I was treated fairly, and professionally. Arlan did a fantastic job on the A/C for my 2006 Chevy Silverado. It blows ice cold, and his price was amazing. I had taken my truck to another shop that didnt even look at the A/C and automatically told me that right out of the gate I would be spending over $1,000. However, after purchasing the parts and hiring Arlan to complete the job, I spent only about half for completely new parts, and labor. I will continue to use Arlan and Ed at Portillo Automotive for anything that they can handle.

Amy Dreher Best customer service in years! Howard was knowledgeable, professional and polite. We received a status update daily on the progress being made on our electrical issue. They suggested additional repairs and maintenance to be done that were not aware of as issues. All cost estimates were detailed with photos and could be approved item by item digitally. Their prices were all very reasonable. We completed everything and when we picked up the RV we received a thank you gift. We will absolutely return for future needs. Jason Baker I have a 2015 Porsche Panamera GTS. Even though it’s 10 years old, the dealership charges me new rates to repair it. It always seems to break or have something happened to it about every four months. I had a Porsche mechanic take a look at it at his house and he wanted to charge me more than this company, And it would take several weeks to get the parts and do it in his driveway. My air conditioner was dead, and so I was “sweating to death” in my car. I met with the service consultant and they fixed my car within 24 hours parts arrived and all, and it was 200 cheaper than the mechanic. I would highly recommend these people as they are professionals and they are super fast and they have a three year warranty. You get a two-year warranty at the dealership. It’s a no-brainer. My AC is colder than when I bought it new. Thank you so much

Frederick The only place I’ll take my BMW and Audi to. Great care and much less expensive than the dealer. Between the two vehicles, they’ve done brakes for both, valve cover, oil filter housing and front differential on the BMW and general oil changes and scheduled maintenance on both. Very happy to have found them.

Jonathan K. I have a 2014 Mercedes E350 that had a fuel leak at the suction jet pump. I called two different Mercedes dealerships to get a quote for installation. I only received a call back from one and it was several days later. I cold called C & R European Auto Tech Inc. on a Friday and spoke to the owner. I told him the problem I was having with my car and he gave me a quote on the phone. He said if I have the part, I could bring the car in the following Monday first thing and he will take care of it for me. I showed up at his shop first thing Monday morning part in hand. He honored the quote he gave me over the phone and was able to complete the job in a short amount of time. It only cost me a fraction of what the dealership had quoted. In the future, I will bring all my vehicles to C & R European Auto Tech Inc. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants to save money without compromising skilled work.
