April, the dental assistant, was incredibly sweet and caring—she made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Holcombe was fantastic! He was quick, gentle, and made sure I didn’t feel a thing. I also really appreciate his honesty and straightforward approach. The hygienist did an amazing job as well—my teeth feel so clean! Eva, the manager, was attentive and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I truly love this office and wouldn’t hesitate to travel two hours just to be seen here!

1 /5 K Paul Boyev: I had been a patient of Dr. Holcombes for about 25 years, but recently when I arrived for a routine cleaning I was denied care because I would not consent to unnecessary dental x-rays. I am a medical doctor, and maybe not the smartest one in the state of Florida, but also far from the dumbest. I am pretty good at reading medical literature and I recently came across 2 high-quality papers from 2021 and 2022, both assessing data from hundreds of studies. The earlier one is a systematic review and the later one is a meta-analysis and systematic review. Without getting into the weeds, the 2021 study shows a sensitivity of xrays of 0.48 -- worse than the flip of a coin (p

Next, we moved two hours away, at which time I tried multiple other dentists, thinking that was the practical thing to do. The first disappointed me with their rude hygienists and less-than-helpful staff. The second was Aspen Dental, where they tried to hard sell me into thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. All that to say, I have come back home to Advanced Dental Associates, and my family will make the drive, even at two hours away. Rosie handles my wife and I, and she feels like family.
