Aesops Park - Tavares (FL)

4 /5 Bri Zee: Secluded, quiet and rural. Only downfall is the homeless presence because a lot of trash and random things are left behind from their camps in the woods. My favorite part of this park is the community garden!!

4 /5 FP Johnson: This is a nice little park at the end of a dead-end road in the middle of town. Listed at 11.5 acres, but feels smaller, it has a cozy tucked away feeling to it. Gravel parking lot is small, maybe 7 spaces, but has wheelchair access. 2 lit tennis courts are nearby and the restroom facility. The picnic area has plenty of tables & grills and a small playground. A community(?) vegetable garden behind the courts? Needs TLC, but I never seen these outside of a Sims game. The small pond is stocked and clean so that you can fish from any spot around it. One corner has couple of exercise stations with bars/steps/incline etc. In the back is the separated fenced in dog area for under/over 25lbs. It is quite small but has enough for a short sprint. Water dispenser, double gate & good fence. bags placed throughout the park. Also a covered sitting area, but really this whole park is well-shaded. Did not notice much lighting except near the front.

4 /5 Nicole B.: Nice hidden park area, if you plan on having a cook out there I suggest going ahead of time and scoping out the area. There was a lot of beer cans scattered around the bathroom in the bathroom was to be desired but that was no fault of the parks that was due to somebody who had visited obviously before I had. Other than that it’s a great park very shaded with a small pond.

5 /5 Ana Mitchell: I like this park although its small and it might not have much privacy when they have other families around , but if I go when they dont have many people its nice and quiet. They have restrooms, a fenced in dog park , several picnic tables, playground for kids, exercise area, a beautiful stocked pond. The parking lot could use some improvements, it floods when it rains
