1 /5 Alma Godoy: ⚠️ Public Warning – Be cautious before trusting this shop with your vehicle ⚠️
I brought my Jeep to Affordable Auto Repair of St. Petersburg for a rubbing noise at low speeds. After 4 days in their shop and $2,745.45 spent, the issue was never fixed.
On the fifth day, they asked me to bring it back for a reassessment. I agreed, thinking they’d finally take care of it. But instead, my Jeep sat untouched all day—and at 4 p.m., without even calling me, they decided to move my vehicle to another city (Clearwater), to another shop they own. I never gave permission. They may own two shops, but they do not own my vehicle.
When I confronted them about this, I was hit with rudeness, deflection, and excuses. And here’s the kicker: I was told someone had been in the hospital, and that’s why there was confusion and no follow-through. Funny enough, after reading their Google reviews, I noticed I’m not the only one they’ve used that excuse with.
Let the shit show begin—because I’m not staying quiet about this.
To recap:
• They misdiagnosed the problem entirely.
• Replaced parts that had nothing to do with the actual issue.
• Charged me nearly $3,000.
• Moved my vehicle without consent.
• Refused to return original parts or provide documentation.
• Handled follow-up conversations unprofessionally and even hung up on me.
They do whatever they want with your car, and when called out, they dodge responsibility.
I’ve filed complaints with the FTC, BBB, and Florida Attorney General. This is not just bad service—it’s bad business.
