Blanton Park - TitusvilleShottyHottie: The park itself is rather quaint and would be a great place to take kids on its own, but it is constantly rampant with drug activity, as well as homeless people sleeping and drinking there. I absolutely would not recommend you let your kids play here.
Museum of Discovery and Science - Fort LauderdaleAshley Cunningham: Went on a rainy day while on vacation with two kiddos; 1yo and 3yo. There was plenty for us to do for several hours. It kept the kids busy, running around and just touching and exploring things! Great option for families to beat the heat or rain.
Jungle Queen Riverboat - Fort LauderdaleNestor Encarn: Had a great experience! The captain was super knowledgeable and saw amazing houses on the water and million dollar yachts. The bar in the boat was cool, drinks were cold and the bartender super friendly. The little on shore island was relaxing. It was all you can eat BBQ ribs and they were good. My family left stuffed. The show was also very fun and the fire show was exciting. For the price it was well worth every penny. I would do it again just for fun.
Historic Stranahan House Museum - Fort LauderdaleLexi Woon: A Step Back Time! This House is a delight and its right in the midst of busy and modern Las Olas facing the beautiful New River. The house itself is a stunning example of simple yet beautiful design. Our guide, Missi, was very nice and very knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the Stranahan familys history.
The self-guided audio tour was true ingenuity - it allowed us to explore the house at our own pace while still gaining a deeper understanding of its significance.
What truly impressed us was how the museum transported us back in time. The carefully preserved interior and artifacts created an immersive experience.
This was definitely a unique and enriching experience in Ft. Lauderdale, the Stranahan House Museum is an absolute must-visit.
Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale - Fort LauderdaleZyanya Che: The free water trolley gives you a 20 minute ride to check out all the walk with amazing views but you can also walk around and use the bridge to cross. I think it is super worth to take. Other than that not a lot to do. I walked around and found a museum and cute spots for pictures. A lot of homelessness folks in the picnic area and benches around.
Watertaxi is also available to go to the beach but I found it too expensive since it is a 32 per person ride. Tickets must be purchased online. Wouldnt recommend for a large group.
Bonnet House Museum & Gardens - Fort LauderdaleEMPRESS T: Was on vacation in May & decided to visit the Bonnet House due to its short distance from the hotel. The estate/museum was a very very nice experience. You can tour with or without a guide. If you choose without, they do have staff inside of the “air conditioned” rooms to provide history on the artifacts & paintings.
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park - Fort LauderdaleDani MCDonald: 5/30/25 Ashley, Bronco, and I went on walk through the nature trails at the State Park, very beautiful, saw different birds, trees, and a turtle. Peaceful busy park, well kept, recommend going. Another entrance is via the beach area as well.
History Fort Lauderdale - Fort LauderdaleMelissa Gessner: Beautiful old house on the New River...We attended a book signing by Frank Sullivan retired fire captain. I looked through the individual rooms. They are all different and fascinating. Items for purchase . 2nd floor. I didnt go up..next time !!
Colee Hammock Park - Fort LauderdaleGolden Owl: Shaded, manicured, historical, quaint, water front park. Not crowded yet well used. Often a patrol car in the area too. We had a Very enjoyable stop while bike riding to/from the beach.
Loggerhead Park - Fort LauderdaleDavid Hidalgo: This is a great location for a day at the beach, you can chill and sun-bade or do water sports, plenty of beach space, kind lifeguards, small parking, has showers, no bathrooms at the park
or near by, and be careful if you pass for a few minute on the parking meter you will get a ticket.
