5 /5 Portalatin Cynthia (Cynthia Rose): Kyle has wonderfully positive, healing energy. I highly recommend his massages. He is very skilled in technique and I felt comfortable with him. Everyone I met in the salon was super nice. There is free parking on the first floor of the garage which is kind of behind the salon… was a little tricky to find, but thankfully Blue Gill restaurant had a street level sign that helped me find it. Beautiful jewelry for sale by a local artist. And the salon has all Aveda products so it smelled wonderful. I booked my next massage already!

5 /5 Jennifer Ulery: Brittany King did a phenomenal job on my haircut! Really listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions, and was super pleasant to talk to! I got about 3-4 inches cut off and asked for curtain bangs, long layers and face framing. My already fine hair has gone through quite a few pre-and postpartum hair-shedding phases, so I desperately needed an update. I feel like a new mama! Will definitely be returning:)

5 /5 Dayana Georgieva: Fantastic service! I was looking for a keratin treatment that will solve my frizzy Florida hair problems, and upon doing some research I found this salon. It was easy to make an appointment and their Cezanne Smoothing Treatment seemed like a good choice for my hair. The staff were welcoming and the salon was clean and organized. Brittany was very friendly and did a fantastic job with my hair! She even took before and after pictures for me. I am so so happy with the final result and this salon. For my long hair I paid $260 before tipping; which I already expected since the staff were transparent about how much it would cost for various hair lengths. The only confusing part was finding the parking garage, which the front desk easily directed me to over the phone. Will definitely be coming back here!

5 /5 D f: This is my holy grail salon. Michelle is always so sweet and amazing to talk to throughout the service. The front desk staff is very inviting and personable to all clientele. They offer refreshments when entering and the atmosphere is always super inviting. I’ve been coming here for three years or more and I’ve never had a bad experience! Having curly hair, it can be very difficult to find someone who is as caring as Michelle. She is amazing! Can not recommend Avant Garde Salon enough :)

2 /5 Sydney Barajas: It was great until it was not.. I was aware we could not get where I wanted immediately, however we definitely could have gotten further if they assigned me a hairstylist who knew what they were doing. Michelle is a great person, but do not go to her if you have a complex hair history. I am deeply saddened my hair is fried now and feels super unhealthy. She always preached to me about maintaining the integrity of my hair, so I was fine with the slow/minimal results but quickly my hair quality deteriorated and I’ve always had thick hair even after bleaching. After my second appointment, I cried in my car from how botched it looked, it was not what I asked for and I felt really awful because she did what she wanted rather than what I wanted and I even noted it but she said I’d have to wait until my next appointment (2 months out) for it to be fixed, I was out the salon with a harsh line of color that many peers noticed. For the amount I paid over appointments, I wish this was not the result. The only reason I am not giving a one star is because another stylist did try to fix it and she was really nice, but the damage is irreversible and I’m going to have to wait a really long time to get the quality of my hair back. I have hair breakage like never before, and hair that is all different shades and my hair is originally curly so now my hair is just a frizzy mess no matter what I use in my hair. Please go to a different salon if your hair background is a bit more complicated.
