Sarasota Deco by Rob Lorenson - Sarasota
Big Cat Habitat - Sarasota LoriAnn Berry: Loved this place! I know it’s controversial but all I saw was well taken care of animals in clean, adequate environments/ cages comparable to top zoos like Columbus Zoo in Ohio. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It was awesome to be able to see the cats up close. We really enjoyed our time here. We didn’t stay for any of the shows so I cannot comment on that. Overall a fair price and fun family activity for all ages.
Conservatory Park - Sarasota Gonzalo Hernandez: What a wonderful tranquil place to relax and unwind. Whether you go to walk your dog, take a leisurely stroll, or enjoy birding, this park has it all. Take a break from your stressful lifestyle and go there to feel relaxed and in touch with nature.
Urfer Family Park - Sarasota Elena Sokol: The name fully responds to the place! Family park with zoning for different ages. With a fenced area for kids; detached for toddlers; teenagers; and for all ages sports islands around the park. There is also a picnic court. To book a birthday party or any other event, you must make a reservation in advance by phone. And book swaps are an easy way to find new books and help people feel more connected to their community
Ted Sperling Park Nature Trail - Leah Brod: Great place but crowded! Go when its not snowbird season and its perfect.
Escape Reality - Sarasota Chris Wolf: Had a great time with friends! Host Kayden was wonderful. We got out in 42 min! What fun for a birthday event!!
Crowley Museum & Nature Center - Sarasota H Carbone: This place is truly unique. Ive lived in Manatee County since 1987 and never knew this museum was here until we decided to visit Myakka State Park. This is a few minutes down the road from the North entrance of the park. If you love history, seeing historical buildings, or walking around for an adventure, this museum has it all! Honestly, we enjoyed this much more than the park. Also, they have a whole area for kids to play and adventure in.
Sarasota Opera House - Sarasota Salex Xavier: It was great. The seats were nice and sized so normal Americans can fit in them - so roomy for smaller folks. The building was WELL attended, so you knew exactly where your seat was with all the help around. You also learned very quickly that they did not like you setting your water bottle on the mezzanine rail and there was no place but the floor for it to go (nothing in the seat handles). While it is an opera house, they do sell to many different types of shows and they have drinks available in the lobby to take in with you, just no place to set them easily. Oh well. Other than that, it was perfect. The show ("The Piano Men" - Elton John and Billy Joel impersonators both on stage in a dueling piano type setup) was great and had some energy and excitement going. A nice night out.
Eloise Werlin Park - Brian W.: Nice park located at the base (east side) of Ringling Bridge. To get there stay in the right lane as you approach Ringling Bridge. Just before the bridge there is a turnoff on the right. Plenty of parking. A lot of people park here to walk over the bridge. There is also a small park over the bridge on the west end. Has a playground, Hart’s Landing which is a bait and souvenir shop, and a fishing pier. Terrific place to walk and is very dog friendly as well.
Myakka Canopy Walkway and Observation Tower - Angela: Loved it! Went with kids and they had a great time too! The walkway was really fun to walk across and the tower provided panoramic views. The park was awesome, $6 a car load, had facilities, a little shop and food. We saw gators! It was worth the trip.
