5 /5 H Carbone: This place is truly unique. Ive lived in Manatee County since 1987 and never knew this museum was here until we decided to visit Myakka State Park. This is a few minutes down the road from the North entrance of the park. If you love history, seeing historical buildings, or walking around for an adventure, this museum has it all! Honestly, we enjoyed this much more than the park. Also, they have a whole area for kids to play and adventure in.

5 /5 Lisa: Dixie and Noah are so welcoming, full of knowledge and really are truly incredible people. I am so glad I was able to go and learn! Not only about the Seminole and Myakka culture, but the rescue animals and their sustainable gardening! Truly the best $6 I ever spent in my life! I cant stop talking about my time spent there. The walking trail was gorgeous and the boardwalk was a nice touch to our hike. Thank you and see you again soon!

5 /5 Wayne L: Beautiful property with a great boardwalk hike. Unfortunately the boardwalk is still under repair due to hurricane damage. Lots of great historical farm items. Very unique location. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Myakka Canopy Walkway and Observation Tower - Angela: Loved it! Went with kids and they had a great time too! The walkway was really fun to walk across and the tower provided panoramic views. The park was awesome, $6 a car load, had facilities, a little shop and food. We saw gators! It was worth the trip.

Pinecraft Park - Sarasota Dave King: Interesting place to visit to see the Amish folks taking this game very seriously. Pinecraft’s most famous landmark!

Mysterium Escape Rooms & VR - Sarasota Christina Engler: We have hosted two birthday parties at Mysterium for our 10 and 11 year old daughters. Michael and Ava do an exceptional job and the kids have a blast! All the kids said it was the best birthday party they had been to - escape room, karaoke, pizza and cake and a VR experience. So may laughs and giggles were had and memories made. Thank you for a wonderful experience x2!

Siesta Key Rum - Sarasota Christof Harper: Fantastic tasting room, lots of education, just a fantastic company and great ingredients and sourcing. Kevin is fantastic as a bartender for your after purchase drinks! The rum itself is also just excellent stuff. All around great.

Jumpin Fun Inflata Park - Sarasota Michael James: Visiting from out of town. Was looking for something to do with the kids. I saw multiple negative reviews about lighting concerns and the cleanliness of the facility. I felt like giving it a shot regardless. Posting a few pics so that you can see its very well lit and very clean. My kids and I had an absolute blast. I would highly recommend it. My one kid stayed on the zip line the whole time while my other just kept trying out activity after activity. The package price, if you pay with gift cards, actually comes out pretty worthwhile. especially when you factor in that you can come back any time for a month. I will definitely be back. Its a great value for the price and a ton of fun

Sanford Museum - Sanford Judy Grillo: Want to know more about how Sanford came to be this delightful town? This is the place. History, art, photographs, displays galore. Its a small museum that is filled with interesting stories and the Museum Curator, Brigitte Stephenson is very knowledgeable. They also publish a fun newsletter you can pick up and offer events on special topics with a local focus. All free with some booklets, postcards, etc available too.

Sanford Riverwalk - Sanford Katie Wendt: Beautiful walk by the lake. Nice benches to sit in the shade and very clean. I even saw an alligator in the water (or crocodile, I cant tell the difference). :)

Museum of Seminole County History - Sanford Sharon Mcfarland: Excellent small county, historic museum. The museum and grounds are in excellent condition. Restrooms are available. Tald with the museums curator is very knowledgeable and friendly. Outstanding one hour stop. Highly recommended.

Fort Mellon Park - Sanford Gannicus 613: Great place for kids. $2 to get into splash pad (not bad at all). Plenty of room for playing, playground is big. A big plus>> they have bathrooms!! Nice view of the lake as well, sidewalks to take a nice walk. There were two shaved ice carts here today and an ice cream truck. Definitely coming here again. Clean as well one slide was out of order but they safely blocked it off so no kids could use it (the welded a metal plate at the top of slide and at bottom)
