1 /5 Ana Paula Fogaça: Do Yourself a Favor: Avoid Beauty factory salon and spa
Please, if you are considering this place for your hair, take your time reading about my nightmare experience. I feel compelled to share my horrific experience at this place so that no one else has to endure the same nightmare I did. If you value your hair and want to avoid years of damage and emotional distress, please do not go here!
I walked into the salon hoping for a simple recovery treatment and trim, clearly explaining the previous damage to my hair. All I wanted was a gentle approach to restore its health. Instead, stylist Leo completely disregarded my wishes and insisted on applying a harsh chemical keratin straightener without my consent or knowledge. The burning sensation on my scalp was unbearable, and the toxic smoke filled the air, stinging my eyes. When I confronted him, he refused to disclose the product used, hiding behind the excuse of salon policy.
After this traumatic experience, I reached out to the salon for help, desperately trying to understand what had happened. I sent them pictures and explained my situation, pleading for a solution. Their response? They wanted me to come back—at an additional charge—for more procedures! They knew the state of my hair and still had the audacity to propose more costly treatments instead of taking accountability for the damage they caused.
The situation was so unbelievable that after I insisted for 24 hours, they finally provided a name of a product that clearly wasn’t what was used on my hair. I had to contact the brand of the product, and they confirmed that what the salon claimed was used was not accurate at all. The situation was such a nightmare that I even had to send a sample of my hair to a lab just to figure out what they did, as they continued to refuse to be honest with me.
When I expressed my concerns, their answers were shockingly generic. They claimed my expectations were too high—when all I wanted was treated hair, not the melted, dry mess they delivered. They had the nerve to say, “every hair reacts differently,” but let me be clear: if you can’t predict how hair will react, you shouldn’t be working with it in the first place! Leo’s alleged 18 years of experience clearly didn’t prepare him for handling women’s hair; it felt more like he was used to cutting men’s hair or even birds!
And as if that wasn’t enough, the salon’s response included mocking me and insult my intelligence when I didn’t agree to their inflated prices. It was evident that they are money-hungry, prioritizing profits over customer care. What they did to me has caused immense emotional damage; I cry every time I look at my hair, knowing the long road of recovery ahead.
If you’ve had anything done to your hair before, you should avoid this place at all costs! If they ruin your hair, they will simply blame the last thing you did, even when they were fully aware of your hair’s condition. They don’t care at all about the consequences of their actions!
Also, DO NOT be fooled by the fake positive reviews on Google! I’ve spotted employees reviewing their own work with five stars, and many of these accounts are suspiciously new, with no other reviews. On Instagram, I took my time looking through their stories after the fact, and I noticed lots of repeated posts trying to claim that they were recent when they were just recirculated content. It made me feel like they were trying to create the impression that the salon is always busy and doing new things. However, I stayed in this place from 9 AM to 6 PM on a Friday for this nightmare procedure and saw firsthand that the place was empty. Their Instagram feels fishy, designed to make you believe something that isn’t real.
If you care about your hair and your emotional well-being, take my advice: steer clear of this salon. Look for a place that genuinely prioritizes your hair health and values your trust. You deserve better than anything that this horrible place has to offer!
