Eleida Sanchez The staff and service was amazing! I love how gentle and kind everyone is. Alvaro cut my hair and i absolutely love how my hair turned out! He gave me exactly what I wanted. They even offered me a water as soon as I sat down! I will definitely be coming back here!

S S My hair stylist was absolutely amazing, he was so personable and friendly. I wish I got his name but I know he’s Brazilian and he looks like a model lol. He took care of me and was very gentle with the color process. I would definitely recommend him. I couldn’t stay long to finish my blowout, but I’m gonna attach pictures just so that you could see how shiny and how the color came out. My hair was a type of dark brown and I wanted jet black. He is very experienced and would highly recommend him.

Shay They seemed nice and I was planning on leaving a good review but I simply can’t do that in good faith LOL I don’t leave bad reviews often but I have to warn the public about this place. While I understand that it’s under new management, there’s no excuse for this. I essentially paid $120 to have my beautiful hair butchered by amateurs and get scammed. 1 - I didn’t realize how badly they messed up my hair until it dried. I have very thick curly hair and came in for a trim and thinning out. She used shears and when my hair dried, I saw how insane the breakage is. My hair is broken, brittle, and way more frizzy. There’s no fixing it, I’ll just have to wait for it to grow out and do some moisturizing treatments. 2 - They did extra treatments I didn’t ask for without letting me know it would cost more. The owner was well aware because she straight up asked me if I was told about the extra cost. When I said no, she just continued without apologizing or correcting it. Great customer service! 3 - She was apparently training her entire staff that day and while I don’t care if all your employees are standing around watching you cut my hair, she did not let me know ahead of time and it felt weird. 4 - When people go to a salon, they want a relaxing experience. This was not that. The staff were very loud, unprofessional, and untrained. If you’re going to run a salon that way, at least offer clients champagne to deal with y’all and relax in some way. This salon keeps getting new owners and none of them seem to be competent. I’m not even going to bother coming back.

Ana Teixeira Marcia is an amazing hair stylist! Extremely professional, very talented and dedicated! She takes care of me since 2005 and I truly recommend her!

Alex Marshall Miranda is absolutely amazing. She did a flawless K tip extension on me. Color matched perfectly and the actual install was quick (as far as extensions go) and straightforward. It’s clear that she is a master of her craft. I will never go to anyone else for extensions!! Shoutout to Dani her assistant who is also just excellent.

Isa Jarrin Daniela is amazing! I had a wonderful experience at her salon she is incredibly skilled and made my hair look absolutely stunning. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. Not only is she talented, but she also creates such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The young lady at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile and immediately offered me a seat along with a refreshing beverage, which set the tone for the entire visit. My appointment was with Feruza, and I can honestly say she is an absolute gem. From the start, she was incredibly attentive, taking the time to listen to what I wanted while also educating me about my hair and the process. I really appreciated her thoroughness and care. Before we began, Feruza was upfront about the costs, which I found refreshing—there were no surprises at the end, and I felt completely informed every step of the way. Feruza worked her magic on my hair, color-correcting it beautifully and creating a stunning balayage that gave me a flawless transition in both color and cut. The results were absolutely worth every penny, and I couldnt be more pleased. What truly made this experience stand out, though, was the level of expertise and genuine passion that Feruza brings to her craft. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable and happy throughout the entire process. I live in New Jersey, but after this experience, I’ll be making the trip to Orlando just to have Feruza do my hair. Holly French I have been to Iris twice so far, based on great reviews from our neighborhood FB page and its been wonderful. Not only is Iris great at what she does with hair but she seems to be a beautiful person inside. Her prices are reasonable, her desire to help other people is commendable, and her personality (and her grand daughters personality) are a joy to be around. I hope to have a lasting relationship with her and my hair! :)

Andrea Lynn Iris is THE BEST. She has been doing my husbands family’s hair since they were kids. My mother in law and grandmother. We don’t trust anyone else with our hair because she is SO excellent at what she does and treats he clients like family! She has a heart of GOLD. Sharon Breed Bobby is a master at his craft. He has been doing my hair for years and despite moving to Ocala I still make the drive to see him. I would trust no one else. My color is always amazing and he nails the cut every time. I’m always getting compliments on my hair from total strangers. He’s the best, trust him.

Bess Corinne brought ideas but also paused several times to get my feedback, and in such a way that I felt comfortable asking for changes to my haircut. There also wasnt any pressure to buy anything, and she explained in very simple terms how to take care of my hair at home. Everyone was very nice and laid back. My new haircut kept all the things I like, but I also felt comfortable enough to try some new things too!

Z I’ve had a few haircuts here throughout the years. Alchemy’s people have always done a great job on me during the mullet years-as I call them. maybe I’ll go back to being a mullet guy. Today I had a simple trim on my medium hair. ’ll probably be back in 6 months to go back to a mullet. We’ll see. Liz did a fine job cutting my hair today as well, good job Liz. Katlyn Butler I was a little nervous at first but this place is literally amazing, every stylist in there is so sweet and its such a welcoming place. I adore my hair and the work Alex did to it and I totally recommend her! Thank you Alchemy and Alex!

M My friend recommended me Amarilis to do my hair because she pays around $75 for what she gets done. I made an appointment for my friend and I because salons charge a lot for a simple wash and blow dry. When coming in I told the stylist that I want what my friend gets done. Amarilis tells me my friend gets a keratin treatment done on her hair. I agree because my friend has been getting her hair done by this stylist for years. Our hair came out great but once we went to the desk to pay the man tells us our total is $200 EACH?! We explained the situation, they didn’t care, we paid and left. We’re never coming back which is really sad but I won’t be giving my money to a salon that takes advantage of new customers. I pray my curls aren’t ruined after this.

Devora Diaz First visit for my daughter’s graduation in May’24. Her hair looked amazing, plus she got her nails done here as well! Of course I had to come back the next day to get my hair done! I loved it. My daughter’s hair and my hair lasted for a week! Great atmosphere, reasonable price.

Dolores Rivera My two daughters and I have been visiting this salon for over three years, and everyone here is so welcoming! Yuli is amazing—she does my hair and truly listens to every detail. She always cuts just the ends(never exceeds), exactly how I want it! Highly recommend!

Pia Rochelle is truly amazing! She gave my daughter the best curl cut she’s ever had—her curls are now beautifully shaped, defined, and so much easier to manage. Rochelle was incredibly patient and gentle, making the whole experience fun and comfortable for my daughter. I also see Rochelle for my own hair, and she does a fantastic job with my color—touching up my roots and adding highlights that look so natural and vibrant. She’s not only talented but also takes the time to understand exactly what you want, and it shows in the results. Whether it’s curl cuts or color, Rochelle is the best. We’re both so happy to have found her!

Rachel Arnold Callie is the best! Been going to her for about 2 years now. SHE IS GREAT WITH THICK HAIR!!! She fixed the mistakes another salon made, and she got all the old dye out of my hair…for a good deal and 1/2 the time! The salon is great. Elaine does great facials as well!!

Ketina Oliver I want to start off by saying the manager did refund me for the service which I appreciate. The team was sweet but unfortunately it just doesn’t make up for the damage done to my hair. I hadn’t colored my hair in a few years because I was focused on hair health, but wanted to treat myself for Mother’s Day and switch up my look. I specifically told my stylist I don’t want the blonde to be dramatic. I presented her with inspo photos, showing her the blended look, and shade of blonde I was going for with my natural brown base. After the color, when another stylist was blow drying my hair (who btw was sweet but kept calling my hair kinky repeatedly and saying she didn’t know how to do it) my hair isn’t kinky, it’s wavy curly…. My heart sank. The color I was seeing was so splotchy and a dramatic golden brassy blonde which is the complete opposite of what I asked for. There’s literally a line across my hair where it looks like she did subtle highlights on the top, and just tacked on as much blonde on my ends as she could. The blow-dried style of someone who isn’t trained for textured hair made it even worse. I’ve never felt so ugly than I did in that moment, I wanted to cry. So I got up from my chair as fast as I could, checked out, and cried in my car. My hair is damaged and brittle with the worst color I’ve ever received and I’m so sad. Again the manager was willing to refund me, but there’s no way to make this situation better. My hair health is gone, and I have so much anxiety about letting another stylist touch my hair after this experience. I’ll attach photos. Shealyn Lewis Paulo knocked my hair out of the park! The first two photos are the only ones I took after getting the highlights, and the third photo is a before. He completely brightened my hair up and transformed me into the blondie I’ve always wanted to be. I have A LOT of long, thick hair and he knew exactly how to work with it and was very patient with the task. He is also a kind person which makes the service even better. Highly recommend him!

Ava Watts I found Paulo while looking for a hair salon during a short visit to Orlando. Needed my hair styled in the last minute, Paulo was very accommodating. He took his time to wash and style my hair. The end results was very satisfying. I loved it, my hair looks great and my friends gave great compliments. Next time im in town, I will be heading over to Paulos Salon.

Laura Infante I moved to Orlando and didnt have a salon recommended. I did research reading the reviews and looking at the photos of every salon nearby. I liked this one because they do keratin on afro hair so I called and Dee answered giving me details on price and everything. About a week later I went without appointment, yet Dee was with me right after finishing with the customer that she was attending. She was very nice and friendly, also very careful handling my hair because of my sensitive scalp (I didnt feel a thing ☺️). My hair ended up very straight as I wanted it. I would definitely recommend this salon.

Brittany Holloway I called about a walk in appointment and Ms. Dee answered. She was very nice and told me I could come right in for a wash and set. About an hour later as I walked in, I noticed they also did Kératine Treatments. My hair is super thick and it’s very frustrating to work through. I asked if I could do that instead and she said no problem! Within 3 hours I was out and my hair has never been this soft! She was very kind and communicative about the process. Even going so far as telling me about why she was putting less heat on my ends to avoid heat damage and how I can come back in a month for a touch up to prolong the treatment. 10/10 would recommend. My hair looks and feels amazing! I look forward to making this my go to salon going forward. Thank you Ms. Dee!

Melissah Berry Would not recommend!! This salon was recommended to me. Prior to going, I called and check their hours of operation. I was told they close at 6pm even though the website says 7pm. I arrived to the salon at 5:15 pm and they was locked up and stated they was close. There were no customers inside. Also, please note that the hours of operation was also listed on the door as closed at 7pm. The lady agreed do my hair. But she wanted to do what she wanted to do rather than what I wanted done. If youre going to close 45 mins to an hour before your said hours, you need to update your hours of operation! This type of service was UNACCEPTABLE!

Jody Gault I went there for the first time ever today and saw Gail, owner of Soft Aesthetics. I have had many massages with many different people in my 61 years and I can tell you that she was the very best Ive ever had! Shes so kind and professional, her studio is beautiful and comfortable and I sure hope she insured those hand, because God works thru those hands- I felt like I was in heaven! Orlando Hair Systems Phenix in SoDo is an amazing location! We rented a suite there for the last five years. We started with just one suite and eventually our business grew and we rented a second one. The location here is great, easy access from I-4, several restaurants and of course Target in the plaza helps not only with foot traffic but also makes getting things for both yourself and your clients super convenient. We have definitely loved it here. We were able to really make each suite our own and had a lot more freedom to personalize the space then any other suite rental salons we had seen. The owner of this location keeps the location looking pristine and takes great care of the salon and the tenants. When things are broken they are fixed right away, the paint and flooring is always being touched up to make the place look its best and the owner is onsite often making sure everything is is going well. During our five years here we were able to grow our business to the point that last month we actually had to expand into a stand alone location. We were sad to leave our suites that we had been in for so long but are very grateful that this place gave us the opportunity to grow our business and provide us a home for five great years. If you are looking for a place to start your own business I highly recommend this location! It really provides you with a great platform to grow and allows you to focus on growing your clientele and develop you business without the stresses that come with other alternatives.

Robert Prescott I went here while on vacation at Universal. Because of the heat I wanted braids and this was the closest place to our hotel. They fit me in same day I called and did a amazing job. Wasnt painful yet the braids are tight which is perfect. Highly recommend for your hair styling needs both male or female. I for one will be returning on my next trip to Orlando.

Mary Beth Farmer As a first time, walk in client, the stylist who styled hair was great. She listened to me and executed a great cut! Im not a local so Im not sure Ill be here again, but consider this salon for yourself!

Grasified Well, this was my first time visiting and it will be my last. The lady who did my hair essentially heated my hair to exhaustion in most parts. When I told her a method to untangle my hair (use a pick and start from the ends and continue to the roots) while blow drying it, she said "okay" and still did the opposite (started at the roots to the end with a comb with small teeth), damaging my hair in the process. The way she blow dried my hair felt very wrong. She combed a part of my strands, and placed the dryer on that part for almost a minute, and then went to a further section of those same strands. This went on for my entire hair. And that blow dryer felt extremely hot; it burnt my ear the instant it blown on it. On top of that, while shes blow drying my hair, I wasnt feeling very comfortable at all while her child was pestering her, grabbing hold of my chair. Im getting burnt on the ear and scalp while this was all happening. I literally had to tell her that i dont feel comfortable, because she just thought this was okay to let happen. Overall, I just felt horrible that such a place would do that to s costumer. My hair only looked okay for a day, but the damages became clear as day within a few hours. This was the worst

F Z Great job of an inverted Bob. I went in on a whim as a Wednesday late morning walk-in. The stylist accommodated the shape of my head instead of just blindly following the picture I showed her. Everyone was very nice and the shampoo was heaven. Did a deep conditioning for only five dollars extra. The blow out was amazing. I looked like a mess going in and left gorgeous. My hair looked so healthy and full and when I shook my head, it pleasantly swung back and forth. Relaxing time and she was not chatty. Totally would do it again. Lucky me they are located 2 minutes from my house!
