5 /5 Stephen Archie: My wife and I had the blessed privilege of visiting Bethel Community Church last Lords Day and worshiping with the brethren under the ministry of Pastor Russ Atmore. The sermon was Christ centered and convicting. It "cut and comforted". We enjoyed sweet fellowship with the congregation afterwards and felt very welcomed. We so look forward to our next visit to the Sarasota area, God willing. Phil. 1:3.

5 /5 Justin Robicheau: The best church in Sarasota. This church is reformed and here believers receive expository preaching from pastor Russ Atmore. Russ handles the text with precision and teaches what God actually says in His Word. Sunday school teaches the Bible, church history, the reformers and so forth. The church holds to the biblical doctrines of grace (5 Point Calvinism). The church is warm and welcoming. The church sings hymns with deep and rich theology. If you are seeking the Truth come to this church.

But if you are seeking THE TRUE WORD OF GOD, to be welcomed with humility and further your growth in Christ, then welcome home! Upon being born again, I set out to find "the perfect church," yet each Sunday something was still missing, it was like eating but leaving hungry. Then finally I came to Bethel Community Church, and cannot express what a blessing that day was! Talk about a feast of information... Pastor Russ is so knowledgable in the word, well read, well spoken, passionate, sincere, unapologetic, and a true Christian. The church family as a whole is just wonderful, welcoming, humble, loving, and God fearing. - If youre coming for the first time, come for Bible school at 9am (its my favorite.) We go deep into the word, carefully dissecting selected scripture, leaving opportunity for question, answer, discussion. Then we break for coffee/cake etc... and we start the service at 10:30...This would be the perfect way to really get a good first experience of our church. - A small church body, where you can be sure to meet just about everyone. :) - God Bless you on your hunt for "the perfect" church. 5 /5 Jason Mullett: My wife and I and our young son have attended this church for more than 4 years. It has truly been a blessing to us. We were welcomed warmly from our first visit on a Wednesday evening. We were looking for a confessional reformed (1689) Baptist church and by the providence of God we found this at Bethel. If you are looking for a church that teaches systematically through the Bible and holds true to the Gospel of Grace then Bethel is the place for you. If your looking for a great coffee shop and band entertainment experience then Starbucks or the Vanwezel are great places or you can get both at your neighborhood run of the mill modern evangelical mega church, but if you care about and love what the Bible teaches and appreciate sound Biblical exposition then come and visit us.
