5 /5 Darlene Kemp: Butterfly World has stood out, on our vacation, as "the best place" we have visited. There is ample parking and a beautiful park for a picnic lunch outside the butterfly exhibit. The cost of the admission is well worth the price. We received a discount as a veteran. The entire place is family owned, which is really something special. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. They answer questions and make sure that you experience all that there is at this wonderful place. The entire facility is very clean. The employees take extra care in keeping all of the butterflies, insects, spiders, and birds safe.
Entering the butterfly pavilion is so special. The butterflies fly all around each person darting in and out of the greenery. They are so beautiful!
The aviary, for all of the different types of birds, is quite beautiful. The birds are accustomed to people walking through the facility, so they do not seem scared at all. They will sit and let you take their picture. There are beautiful plants and flowers abounding throughout the gardens. I liked how there were the names of plants on or next to each one.
The insect and spider exhibit might give you the heebee geebees, but everything is well contained, so nothing gets out of its cage. The tarantula exhibit really is outstanding!
The gift shop is stocked full of beautiful items to purchase as souvenirs of this wonderful place.
If we lived close to this town, we would get annual passes. Its a special place!
