I get to learn about the Bible verse by verse and how it applies to my life. I have a twin sister and two younger brothers who also love going. My parents attend couples class, which is good for their marriage. We love helping out at Calvary Kids Club on Wednesdays as junior volunteers. Calvary Chapel is like our second home and family.

5 /5 Sigrid Carling: As a middle-school student, I found this church extremely welcoming and the youth group amazing. They explain the gospel in words that I can understand so I can have a connection with God and Jesus. I also help out on Wednesdays at the Calvary Kids Club, which is for elementary kids, where we play games and learn the gospel. We also have Tuesday night youth hangouts over Zoom. This church has something for all age groups!

5 /5 Heather Swett: Pastor Joe Harris teaches verse by verse through the Bible and does topical teachings so you get a balanced approach to the Bible. He doesn’t shrink away from difficult passages. The focus is on individual growth of the believer in Christ Jesus. We love the people here-they are like family to us. We’ve been attending 5 years. There are also several small groups that meet in person and Zoom for Bible Study, prayer and fellowship so you can connect.

Vanessa Crain: Small, but unified. They are very caring, and helpful. They have ALOT of things for the kids to do. The kids all have alot of fun. None of them want to miss a Wednesday! On most Wednesdays there is even a church bus for the kids who do not have a way there. Its the type of place where everyone knows each other. I recommend to anyone regardless of lifestyle or level of class. They have open arms for anyone! Mr. Terry and his wife as well as Ms. Pat are irreplaceable!

We visited other churches but none of them felt as warm and friendly as oakwood. There are lots of programs including small groups and programs for kids. They have a soccer Clinic twice a year for children, an easter event and Holiday events. They teach ESL to students for free, and offer many other opportunities including Bible studies womens meetings mens meetings and more. They also have a robust youth group and childrens ministry.
