Recently moved to Gainesville, and Chelle has been wonderful not only with my flat, fine hair, but also to my whole family. Shell never do to you, what she doesnt want done to her own hair (unless you literally ask for it). Highly recommend her as your new stylist. P.S. Very knowledgeable and experienced with color of all kinds.

5 /5 Cannon Nicole (Nikki): Chelle is the best! I was referred to her by someone while I was a student at UF, and now that I live in NYC I continue to book with her every time I visit home! I could not keep up with insanely expensive bleach + tones from a bigger salon, and she was able to give me such well blended highlights that I was able to achieve an almost identical look with a much easier regrowth process. Her prices and products are great, and I get so many compliments on my hair - even in NYC, people ask where I get my hair colored. I cant recommend her enough!

Someone recommended Birdy to me and I’m so happy they did. The salon itself is relaxing and peaceful full of beautiful art and holistic. Birdy did an amazing job on both of our sister locs. We now have a new consultant. If you have Sisterlocks Birdy is your girl.

Mos Garage Salon Experience - Gainesville Maura Pedersen: I went to see Masha yesterday (On a Sunday! Who even does that?). She turned my head of long, coarse, wavy/curly, thick, gray hair into the MOST adorable little summer bob. It looks great and feels amazing! Im getting so many compliments at work today. The price was beyond reasonable. She was very careful to make sure we were on the same page, and took her time to ensure that the cut was perfect and lengths were even. All while I got to drink a lovely glass of wine. Five stars!

Gainesville Wedding Hair by Deborah - Gainesville Aubrey Rushe: Deborah did an amazing job for my January wedding. In the months leading up to it, she gave me a haircut that would support the hairstyle (and improved the appearance of my normal day-to-day hair, to boot) and invited me to come in for multiple trial sessions to make sure she got everything perfect. I have naturally curly hair, and wanted a stylist who was familiar with curls and wouldnt straighten my hair then re-curl it into large, unnatural "chunks" (which has happened with other stylists in the past). I was drawn to Deborah due to her portfolio of curly hair styles that looked natural, and Im really satisfied with my choice.

I saw a stylist who was so wonderful and kind and thoughtful - I cannot recommend it enough. I had a waxing appointment with Kyna and she was so attentive. And we also had a great conversation! Hair Lady Cait - Gainesville Cayla Jordan: Cait is the BEST hair stylist I’ve ever been to! Every time I leave her studio my hair looks and feels amazing! She puts so much effort and care into each individual client and I can not say enough wonderful things about her. I always feel cared for and listened to when working with Cait. She is so talented! Her color matches are spot on and her cuts always look beautiful. I have some wave and a slight curl to my hair and she always takes time to carefully dry my hair to make sure the cut works with my natural pattern and texture. My most recent hair cut has made me feel more like myself than any haircut I’ve had before. She’s wonderful! Go see her! You won’t regret it.

Millhopper Hair Design - Gainesville Lee Ann Inkel: Nice lady. Good Hair Cut. Bad highlights. *All photos taken within 30 minutes of leaving appointment.* I made an appointment for a hair cut and blonde highlights with "whichever stylist is the best at blonde highlights". Helen made me an appointment with herself. I showed a picture of what I was going for (very blonde hair) and asked if it could be done and she said told me it could. To be fair, after consulting elsewhere, it sounds like it wouldnt have worked due to us having different natural hair colors. While I wanted blended, blonde highlights that would overall lighten my hair color for summer, I received chunky, uneven highlights. I have splotches in my hair from where the chemicals bled out of the foil wraps. Some areas of my hair also very quickly went brassy. The highlights started farther from my root than they should have, which made it look like they had already grown out. Helen kept complimenting me at the end on how good it looked. The next day I went back for a refund. She repeatedly offered to add more blonde; however, I declined as I need to go elsewhere to fix it. Since the hair cut was good, I had no problem paying for that. Helen attempted to charge me $20 more than she had previously quoted me for a haircut. Turns out she was trying to get me to cover the cost of the chemicals she used. When I disagreed, she relented, and said her business had been there a long time and she wanted clients happy.

Locs-A-Braids Natural Haircare L.L.C - Gainesville Shawneise Williams: Amazing Service!!! Lynette is a gem who loves what she does! Her passion for it shows in the service she provides! The hair wash and massage was by far the best experience! The spa like treatment and environment was very therapeutic. I was nervous because I have sisterlocs, but Lynette was confident and by far exceeded my expectation! Thanks for sharing your gift Lynette!

The salon is so charming, and everyone who works there is so lovely! They do book up quickly, (because theyre so great,) so plan ahead and book in advance, as they dont take walk-ins.
