2 /5 R N: This is only a review of their willingness to help. I asked for their portable jump starter to be able to bring my car to the shop to get a new battery. The guy refused even I offered to leave my license. I was 5 minutes away walking from their shop. The guy was abrasive too. Oh well, I guess they wont be working on this car ever.

1 /5 Ann-Kirby Burchett: Never ever go here! They drained my Freon coolant, because some elusive fan wasn’t working in my car. It’s since been to two other mechanics and neither have mentioned an issue with a fan. They took my entire car apart and didn’t put it back together! They told me I’d have to tow it to Mercedes. Mercedes took one look at the mess they made and said it’d be $4k for them just look at it. They had no clue what the D&R mechanics did to it. I found another mechanic, and he fixed it. He said D&R did a number on my car, and I should sue them. It was unreal. D&R is the worst sleaziest mechanic shop ever!

5 /5 Sherry Ellis: My battery died, and D&R Automotive was a lifesaver. They immediately took my phone call. I went to the shop, and they took care of it. They are no-nonsense guys and efficient. It was my first visit, and I will use this shop again.

Abel Natali: I can’t say enough about David, Jason and Orlando at Suncoast Auto Repair. We were in town for a baseball tournament when an unexpected repair was needed. Most shops are closed on the weekend, but upon searching some options, Suncoast Auto came across as one open on the weekend. Saturday morning I had AAA tow my vehicle to their shop. They had no idea I was coming as this was a completely unexpected repair. Even though I showed up unannounced, they assured me they would do everything in their power to get my vehicle repaired before the weekend was out. Not only did they deliver, but they had it repaired the very same day! They even stayed very late so that I picked up the vehicle that same day and watched every game my son played in! I know they knew they absolutely did not have to do that, but I must say I’ve not experienced that sort of customer service from another mechanic. Granted I’ve been lucky to not have this happen previously, but their service proved to me that they care for the customer experience. If I ever find a need for auto care in their area I would not hesitate to utilize their services again! Thank you for the excellent service and getting us back on the road quickly!

Keith Randolph: Wife was driving our van with 2 young kids while out of state, engine started misfiring and needed new coil packs and spark plugs. Called the shop based on great reviews and being close to where she was. The guys got me in as soon as we got there on a Friday at noon, diagnosed, gave us a great price, got the parts, finished the job, got our car back to us before closing at 5pm so we didn’t have to go all week without our car. Very thankful for not getting up charged for being out of state and in a tough position. Very happy. Thanks again!

Jacob Winge: FIVE STARS! I was traveling and just called this shop because they were close to where my vehicle stalled. They recommended a great tow truck and when I got there they immediately took my car in and ran diagnostics to troubleshoot and get me back on the round safe and sound. We all have a local shop we trust, the one that does our oil changes, installs breaks etc... but when you are out of town, who do you call? I cannot recommend them enough for knowledgeable, fast, friendly service! Huge props to this great, local business. No frills, high quality and there when you need them most!

I called this shop after an absurd quote at the Honda dealer and was considering saving up money to trade in my car. The lady on the phone was SO nice I knew this was the place. Jim was able to diagnose the problem quickly and suggested getting a used display (display was out on 2014 Honda civic) to cut price. It ended up being a fraction of my quote from Honda and something I can actually afford. The owner and workers are hard working and honest. AAA originally suggested a different auto shop but the guy there was a complete jerk and even asked why we got our van towed there, meanwhile since we arent from the area, we just went by what AAA suggested. On our own we found this shop and let me tell you how wonderful they were. The staff in general were so nice. They explained everything to us and kept us properly informed every step of the way. They also got our van fixed in a timely manner to where we were still able to enjoy the last couple of days of our vacation. I would highly recommend them to anyone and if we are ever back in the area and need assistance, we know where to go.
