1 /5 Ekaterina Morrissey: Pushing X rays is never appealing to me as I am an X ray tech and know exactly how damaging they are to our body, besides the dental X rays causing brain tumors is well documented. And that is exactly what happened when I walk in on my first visit. Ive had X rays taken less than a year ago from my previous dentist and dr Van Etta insisted of taking new X rays b/c he couldnt read the old ones. Really! How did the old dentist read them? X ray is an X ray, think photograph. Pushing X rays for dentist is the same thing as pushing drugs for conventional doctors. Same evil. X Rays cost a lot of money and they suck it from the insurance, indeed, you, the patient, are still to pay at the end from you tax-payer money and who knows what they will advise you to remove from your mouth that could stay there no problem. The bunch of whales at the reception were not that friendly, and one particularly very obese told me "Its a good idea!" after I said I am traveling to my native country in Europe and will see a dentist there. I didnt get a warm feeling at all and instead I felt pushed, rushed towards their money making routine, lets get you fix-type- of thing…although I was there for a cleaning only and to meet the dentist, thats all. I do not recommend this clinic.
