Joel Ward: I had a very negative experience with Dr. Martin. In my initial "new patient" exam, he recommended that I have two crowns replaced as some decay was present. I scheduled the work and had it completed. After he fitted the first crown, I noticed that my bite was "off." My teeth were not hitting each other they way they were before the crown was fitted. I returned to have the problem addressed, and he ground down the surface of the new crown. It didnt seem to help. After looking carefully at my bite in a mirror, it seemed to me that the problem was with the two teeth in front of the new crown. This suggested to me that the new crown was made too short. Dr. Martin ground down one of the forward teeth, and that solved the problem. He still did not agree that the crown had been made too short. In spite of this difficulty, I went ahead with the second crown. After fitting, the same thing happened again. Moreover, the change in my "bite" was aggravating a previous TMJ problem. At this point, I decided that Dr. Martin just wasnt going to be able to solve this problem. I found a TMJ specialist in Ft. Myers and am now undergoing splint therapy to address the pain associated with the TMJ disorder. Im not an expert, but it seems to me that Dr. Martin failed to properly create and fit these crowns. Otherwise, let me say that he seems like a nice guy and seems to have done a good job filling a cavity. His staff was really good and, in fact, the temporary crown which was fitted by his hygienist didnt cause any problems at all. But I would not recommend having Dr. Martin do a crown.

I needed advice on a procedure that was recommended by my periodontist. Fit Finance: Dr. Behmardi is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I didn’t feel any pain and his work was very professional. He explained me everything which made me feel comfortable during the procedure.
