3 /5 Bea Marriott: My family gave Dr. Root more than 20 years of business. During a crown fitting appointment this past December, I felt intimidated by him and in shock, I filed a complaint with the office manager about his unacceptable behavior. During my second appointment, after the injection and the cutting of the temporary with his drill machine, I realized the color of the crown was darker than agreed. He admitted the lab had made a mistake and re-submitted it. More painful however, was the fact that Dr. Root ignored my complaint and made me feel devalued as a patient. Once the work was completed - on a third visit - Dr. Root told me to find a new dentist. He knew I was moving on - as I had told the manager - but evidently, he wanted to have the last word. Finding a new dentist in town was a lot easier than I thought. And, the crown he placed was still darker than I would have liked. His office however, is very well run by a wonderful group of ladies. His billing department is top notch, the manager is kind and the hygienists are very good.
