Walk and explore the island or find a comfortable spot and relax and connect with nature. Still recovering from last storm season but worth the trip . I highly recommend.

5 /5 Tony Stefanski: This was my first time visiting Eggmont Key even though I have fished around it many times. This was a perfect day to go with a nice breeze and early in the day. Luckily there was not a lot of people visiting on a Friday. Nice peaceful walk with many different species of animals to see.

5 /5 veronica underwood: Took Hubbards Marina Ferry out and enjoyed the afternoon. The old weapons stores were good to walk through. We didnt see any gopher tortoise, but did find a shell. Saw many different birds, lots of brown anole, and found lots of beautiful shells on the west-side beach.

5 /5 OPAL: Amazing place full of beauty, wildlife, and history. Took a small boat from Ft De Soto on a calm day and had no problems reaching the island. It was sparsely populated on our visit. After exploring the island and its historic facilities, we took the boat to a secluded side of the island to enjoy some private sun bathing. Bring all necessary supplies with you as nothing is available on the island. Will definitely visit again in the future.

5 /5 Tricia Jeffcoat: This beach was probably the best beach I’ve ever been to in the US. The water was crystal clear, sand was so soft, we found nice shells- sand dollars and small conch shells. It was really cool. No seaweed to deal with. I will absolutely come back! We road the 30 minute ferry. Maybe next time we visit we’ll rent a boat or something.

The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art - St. Petersburg

sarah bee: I have wanted to come here for years, and I am so happy we made it. Wow, the amount of artwork hidden inside this gem was breathtaking. This museum is not to be missed, if you are a local, or visiting, make time for this museum, you will not regret it. We needed so much more time as we got there pretty late in the day, but $10 Tuesdays have my name all over them. The artwork is some of the most breathtaking I’ve seen. The artist’s various techniques were both hyper realistic and surreal all at the same time, and very unique. The landscapes, the way the mist and clouds were painted was really amazing and the colors the artists achieved and brushstrokes are just like I’ve not really seen before. I could’ve easily spent double the amount of time here.

Tahmea Witchard: i havent been inside to tour the nature but ive been to their park and spoke with their staff and everyone is kind and approachable, i actually lost my iphone one time visiting and a group of kids on a field trip returned it to the front desk and i was able to get it back,but i love that theres a small playground to play on so that way if you dont want to or dont have the momey to your kid can still play and have fun outside of the nature trail ,on the inside of the building there are snacks and beverages that you can purchase at low cost as low as 50¢ and they also have noveltys etc, i think its nice i do recommend

Bay Vista Park - St. Petersburg

Elizabeth Gee: Always a great spot to sit and enjoy some peace. Small park is great for fishing, picnics, walking, or getting some sun. Photograph opportunities include wading birds, seabirds, tidal offerings, and the Skyway Bridge. If you arrive early enough, you can also enjoy and photograph beautiful sunrise scenes over the Bay.

Dell Holmes Park - St. Petersburg

Charleen Martinez: Very large park for the whole family. Amazing, closed in playground for children of all abilities and ages. There is a very clean and modern splash pad too. They are renovating the dock by the lake but the view is still nice. Lots of trees and picnic spots. Walking trails is smooth and perfect for a stroller walk.
