Emerson Point Preserve - Palmetto (FL)

5 /5 Brenda Barber: I love to ride my bike there. Speed bumps keep cars slow. Walking trails, drive to sit on the beach for great sunsets. I need to try kayaking. Rentals available. Its a preserve so be respectful to the environment. Free to enter.

3 /5 joseph boughton: This park is not handicap accessible. The boardwalks are passable but pretty rough using a wheelchair. The trails are unpaved and the ground has a lot of soft spots making it impassable for a wheelchair. The pedestrian crossings are pretty high for a wheelchair and with the soft ground it was a real challenge crossing the road. I gave it three stars because I have limited mobility and can walk relatively short distances so I was able to walk to the mound. Theres a lot of interesting plants and wildlife to see and educational signs about the history of the area.

5 /5 Martin Baumeister: The trail is in good shape, beautiful views, and rather quiet as well as shady in the late afternoon. There is only one section, the Terra Ceia trail, that’s still sectioned off. Park closer at sunset. It was partially opened again two days later. Go to the observation tower, enter the trail and go to the right. To the left was still closed. Not sure how people go about watching the sunset. No entrance fee. Easy parking. Dogs on leash allowed.

5 /5 Shelly Sarrazin: Beautiful area with various walking trails. Some paved, some on a shelled path. An observation tower, overlooking the Manatee River. You can see the Sunshine bridge in the distance. A few places to fish. A Kayak launch, a nice beach area with picnic tables. An excellent park reserve!

4 /5 Angelica Barrera: The place is really good. Have different trail options for walking. The observation tower has a great view of the Tampa Bay including the Sky Bridge! It also has a small beach :). The only thing I did not like it was the bathrooms plus the fact they have not clean the beach trail from the hurricane.
