1 /5 Powers Tony (FireUpChips): I ended up going to Dr. Hughes because Santa Fe Family Dental was no longer in my network. While I will say he seems like an amazing person, I think the difference from being an “ok” doctor to a “great” dr are the intangibles and empathy. You need to be able to put yourselves in your patients shoes. I just don’t feel the same comfort one should feel at the Dentist. Also, I have really good insurance. Why is a cleaning over $115 dollars?! Oh not to mention, I told him during the cleaning it was painful and he told me maybe my last dentist wasn’t cleaning my teeth correctly. Like I said, nice guy but don’t have the qualities to be a good dr. You run that place like a cat shop, where it should be looked at with more care and concern. I still respect you, but not for me. $120 for a cleaning is crazy. That is considered preventive and I don’t pay for preventive procedures (even if it’s under the gums) every dentist I been to always numbs when you clean under the gums. ALWAYS. I can’t believe I almost allowed your team to do that. Horrible experience. Can’t recommend.

5 /5 Anna Weldon: Ive been going to Dr. Hughes for ~6 years, and its been the best decision. He and his dental hygienists always make me feel welcomed and do an amazing job taking care of my dental needs, even when I didnt have dental insurance for a year!

1 /5 Ryan Kress: This play deserves a 0 star truly. I walked in with a chipped tooth and they refused to bond my tooth until I get a crown for it back with my family dentist in New Jersey. Dentist tried to guilt trip me with a story about Michael Jackson and then didnt say anything and had some lady walk me out of the building. Totally unprofessional.

1 /5 Kerri Chase: I wish I could give 0 stars. As other reviewers have said, this office and the dentist are the worst. He told my daughter that he would not clean her teeth unless she had an expensive gingivitis treatment. My 22 year old does not have gingivitis! He was rude and unprofessional in the office to my daughter and also with me when I spoke with him on the phone. And, from the pictures my daughter sent me, the treatment rooms are filthy. Go anywhere but here! UPDATE: Dr. Hughes asked me to take down my review and threatened legal action. However, he fails to understand that truth is a complete defense to a claim of defamation. What I have said in my review is 100% true and prospective patients need to know.
