5 /5 Mary Oprea: This is a wonderful church on Quesada in Port Charlotte, so, its close to North Port, too. Pastor Jim McCarty is an excellent expositor of the Bible and a "people person." This church has become a family for us since we moved from Michigan. If you are looking for a biblical church that stays true to the Word of God, this is the place for you.

5 /5 Cassandra Fink: The worship at First Baptist is what drew me in to this church 17 years ago. Since then, I have learned through Pastor Jims preaching that worship is more than just singing, its the entire Sunday experience of praising God through song, offering up "His" money as a sacrifice, and drawing near to the Lord through His Word...and therefore, learning as much as we can about Him. Its also the place where I found family. Yes, the people are nice, the music is great, and theres even free coffee, but "worship" is not about us. Its about Him. So if youre looking for a church that will change your heart and help you learn what the real meaning of worship is, this is it!

Not only is it a welcoming environment, but the message from Pastor Jim is always phenomenal and spot on. He has a way of explaining the Bible and tying in real life examples that make you feel even more connected with God. It is a wonderful place if you are looking to find a church and a great community to be a part of.

The worship service is engaging and gives us the ability to praise God with his people, to learn His word together, and provides opportunities to serve our local community, country and several foreign countries with the Love of Christ. I would highly recommend this church if you are looking for a place to worship the Lord. The word of God is taught faithfully and the people are very welcoming.
