Trailhead Neighborhood Park - Fort Myers Andrea Morgia: Small parking area. Small playground for young children. Theres a sidewalk around the playground. Restrooms available. A few picnic tables. The trail is a paved straight walkway east and west. Going West is about half mile. Theres one pier overlooking water/swamp area. Quite a bit of trash floating that needs to be cleaned up. Couple homeless ppl lingering around. A handful of teenage boys hanging out, mostly behaving. There was joggers, dogwalkers, bicyclist, scooters, fishermen using the paved walkway.
Seminole Gulf Railway - Fort Myers Cody Hughes: I’m sure you seen the video circulating with your officer assaulting that guy. How can you all employ, and allow your officer to target and treat people like that. Trespassing somewhere to fish may be wrong but absolutely didn’t warrant his property to be destroyed or him to be assaulted. This was gross abuse of power and there is no telling how many times that officer has gotten away with it before. Thank god that interaction was on camera and I hope those two 18 year old kids get the justice they deserve.
Prairie Pines Preserve - North Fort Myers Mauricio Morro: One of the largest walkable preserves in the region. Long loop is not for everyone, almost 15 miles long (nice shortcut trails allow you to shorten the distance as needed), trails are clearly marked and in great shape. Rainy season is almost here so it would become greener and muddier. I would add some signs to point at the 2 railroad lines that are now the boundaries of the preserve
Wild Turkey Strand Preserve - Fort Myers Christopher Enix: This area was gorgeous and very easily accessible. Part of the trail is a paved path, but then it shifts into a flat sandy surface. Great for walking or running. There is also a little picnic pavilion and everything was very clean and well-maintained. Additionally, there are several information boards that provide the unique history of this area. Very interesting. There were not many people on the trail, but everyone I encountered was very friendly.
Clemente Park - Fort Myers Toni Thompson: This park near the Lee County Black History Museum has several picnic areas, some shaded. the picnic areas are separated, offering privacy. The tennis courts are uncovered and in need of repair. The playground is shaded and offers some climbing and sliding opportunities. The bathroom is accessible with grab bars, but very dirty and smells Wheel chair access van free parking with access to park area. A great playground with tennis courts and accessible restroom in need of TLC.
GameTime Fort Myers - Fort Myers Pecora Daylin “Mommy”: My kids love this place they really enjoyed playing in some of the games together and winning points which they can later exchange for prizes. It is nicely kept and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The cards can be reloaded at a different visit and accumulate the points for a bigger prize. Really fun filled place that my kids enjoy a lot.
Fort Myers CycleBoat - Fort Myers
Tallahassee Automobile Museum - Tallahassee Brianna Wright: 3/2025 I was more intrigued by the landscape around this building. The trees are huge & so beautiful. I did find interest in seeing the price change in vehicles. I thought a lot that was here was honestly junk & didnt think the admission price was reasonable. To see everything it took about a hour. It would’ve been nice to be able to get up close with the displayed movie cars.
The Grove Museum - Tallahassee Robin McDougall: I was there for the hour long tour for Black History Month. The Grove is a gem tucked away just off of N Monroe Street easy to access, a really cool old house, LOTS of history and grounds that are open for humans and well behave dogs almost all the time. Recommend!
Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park - Tallahassee Majetzy pena: Absolutely worth going. I was just passing through trying to do something at the moment and I came across this beautiful garden. The lady up front very wonderful lady at the visitation station where you begin a walk in the garden absolutely wonderful as well. I cant wait to come back.
