5 /5 Robin McDougall: I was there for the hour long tour for Black History Month. The Grove is a gem tucked away just off of N Monroe Street easy to access, a really cool old house, LOTS of history and grounds that are open for humans and well behave dogs almost all the time. Recommend!

5 /5 Fran Kitto: Free to visit. Interesting small tour covering two governors that were locals. Naturally being a family historian, I loved that they had little family graves not far from the house. You could also peek a view of the current governors mansion through the trees. Staff were very knowledgeable. Check the days that it’s open before you go.

5 /5 Ashley Smith: A must experience while in town, admission is free and theres a guided tour where you can access the basement or you can roam around yourself. Very great history retold by the tour guide who was very informative and attentive to any questions. Very well kept and beautifully preserved inside.

5 /5 BC Big Dawg: Absolute must if youre in Tallahassee! Very interesting and rich history of a true American. The museum chronicles the life and legacy of Mr. John Gilmore Riley and some history of the time. The guides are very knowledgeable and patient, and the tour goes at your pace. So you can spend as little or as much time as youd like. Photography is allowed and encouraged, and the guides answer all your questions to the best of their abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend this museum to anyone!

Goodwood Museum & Gardens - Tallahassee Brian Z. Guertin: Spectacular Property! Wonderful for a Wedding! Stunning grounds, great event spaces!

Smokey Hollow - Tallahassee Liornaca: Such a cool area to walk around in. It is across the street from Cascades Park. You can see the structures of the houses that stood in the old neighborhood years ago as well as the barbershop that was the center of the community. It really is a nice place to relax in as well.

Florida Historic Capitol Museum - Tallahassee Noah Von Dauber: This building is beautiful and very historic. (Its a shame they replaced the one building that represents the entire state of Florida with a giant gray concrete rectangle.) But this old Capitol building is open to the public and was converted into a very well managed and informative museum. Unfortunately, though, you cant go in the dome like most other capitols.

Mission San Luis - Tallahassee Erin Lee: This was really neat, plenty to do for a long day but we arrived late in the day and were still able to enjoy it for a shorter time. It’s a beautiful walk and well maintained exhibits with a friendly staff.

Lake Jackson Mounds State Park - Tallahassee Tomas Vivas: Offers various short and welcoming trails with an abundance of unique fauna, foliage, and pavillion for events. Truly incredible place with an overlap of history and nature

Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail - Tallahassee Robert Banach: This is a great way to bicycle from St Marks to Tallahassee. Straight, smooth (mostly, some root growth), benches and some restrooms along the way. Scenery is beautiful, clean trail and if you take your time youll see some wildlife and plenty of birds. Just a block or so from the main roads, so you can always cut over and get a drink or a snack.

Cascades Park - Tallahassee Dr. Abadi: Had a great time visiting this park with the family while we were in Tallahassee. It was clean, well-maintained, and made for a really nice spot to walk around and relax. Even though we went on a weekend, there was plenty of parking available, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside is that it could really use more lighting at night—it gets pretty dark. Other than that, everything was great. I’d definitely come back for another stroll if I’m ever in town again.

Florida State Capitol - Tallahassee Aura M. Cisneros: Very organized. Clean and spacious. A lot of parkings nearby. Museums too!

Lake Ella Park - Tallahassee Wade: This is a nice park with the water and gazebo, but I couldn’t find a playground that they apparently have. The geese are cool for kids to see but lots of droppings around and has a smell. Could be cleaner. Also saw some homeless folks. All in all it’s a good park but could use some work.

Riley House Museum - Tallahassee Craig Seabrooks: What a wonderful spot! We learned so much! The staff is so great and enthusiastic!!! We loved it! We will definitely recommend this museum to everyone that is visiting Tallahassee and wants to learn real history! Things that were never taught to us in school! I was glad to share this with my family! Keep up the good work!
