5 /5 Ronald Agnitti: Got to watcha couple cruise ships go by! A little hard to find at first. The pathway isnt marked well at the street. But now that we know....we know.

4 /5 Mark Mauerman: Pretty cool to watch surfers, boats and ships go in and out here. Downside is there is not much parking. You have to park in an expensive metered spot on S Ocean Dr (paid @$5.50 for 1-1/2 hours) and then take a 10-15 minute walk to the jetty.

5 /5 Barbara Gehring: Beautiful sunset spot at the end of the beach. Keep walking past the rocks for a better view. I think it’s the best you’ll get being on the east side of Florida! Once the sun goes down, like any sunset, it just keeps getting better!

5 /5 Just Me: The jetties and beach area are very nice and usually not crowded, which may be because its not so easy to get to. Once you park, its a long ahh walk just to get to the long ahh path that takes you to the top of the beach where theres then another long ahh walk to the jetties at the end. If nothing else, its great exercise, but there IS so much else. An absolutely beautiful beach thats not crowded and rocks to walk down to get to the water. Be careful for waves when large ships go by tho! Theres signs that say the beach is for the building, but no ones ever bothered me, and my philosophy is to leave the place cleaner than when I arrived. I actually pick up trash that lazy or selfish people leave behind. Last time I went with a friend it was the air show weekend and we got unexpected front row seats to practice flights. One went over us all close and Top Gun like. It was absolutely amazing!

World AIDS MUSEUM and Educational Center - Fort Lauderdale Rose I.: I went here around 2017 and was very impressed by the museum. It jogged my memory of those AYDS weight loss candies. I learned a lot too. I hope the museum stays open. I became aware of the museum while working in a county school when some people came in to the school to educate the students about risky behaviors and HIV and they mentioned the museum.

Lewis Landing Park - Fort Lauderdale Ariel W.: Lewis Landing Park in Ft. Lauderdale has quite an amazing history. Archaeological items relating to the Tequesta including animal bones, pottery shards,and shells were found in the park in 2010 indicating a village was here from 800 to 1200 A.D.. The Tequesta were Native Americans who lived along the New River for at least 5,000 years. They used dugout canoes to travel the river from the Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean. When Spain claimed Florida there were thousands of Tequesta but by the time they gave Florida to England in 1763 there were less than 300 left having been wiped out by disease and sold as slaves to Cuba. The park is named for the Lewis family who came from the Bahamas in 1792 and settled on the banks of the New River. They lived on a farm growing coconuts, guava, limes and oranges until 1824. It was believed that their farm served as a way station for the British who were trying to subvert Spanish control. In 1830, Frankee Lewis now a widow sold the land for $400. Ten years ago the park was a vacant residential property. It has now been turned into a river front park with gazebos, a jogging path, a fishing dock, an observation deck, park benches, picnic tables, and a water fountain. The only drawback to the park is that parking is extremely limited with one car parking spot and one handicapped. On January 24, 2015 a statue of a Tequesta Indian sculpted by artist Nida Comas was added to the park. Plaques on the pedestal of the statue provide information about the Tequesta people who are now extinct. This beautiful park is the perfect place to exercise, enjoy a picnic or just take in the beautiful water view. It is also a wonderful place to sit and contemplate the people who came before us who once canoed down the waterways.

Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park - Fort Lauderdale Rick The Grandmastr: Very nice chill park. Seems quiet but it was just 9:30am So children playing maybe in a daycare program was beautiful. They had adult supervision by many adults and that was great!

Las Olas Boulevard - Fort Lauderdale Alberto Zamorano: A very trendy place with a superb service. The food quality and the service being provided by Ricky was outstanding. The margaritas were exceptional being a colossal 42 oz servings where you buy one and get another one for free (The second Margarita was as carry out, not looking to take chances on the road). The place has quite a vibe playing great music ((I felt like we’re in Ibiza), with a great bar and a dance floor stage right in front of the beach. Love this place!!
