1 /5 Wendi Castillo: I arrived at the ED on 2/21 at around 11:15pm with a bleeding head wound, severe head pain, nausea, dizziness and light sensitivity after a fall. I was immediately bandaged up to stop the bleeding and sat in the waiting room for about an hour and a half. I was moved to a room in the ED where they addressed my head wound. Two people couldnt find the staple gun so instead they used surgical glue and the hair approximation technique to address my wound. I laid in the room for another 2 and a half hours waiting for a CT scan which finally when someone came in, they said they couldnt find me because they were looking in the waiting room. The CT scan showed a possible brain bleed so I was admitted to monitor it. Seems to me for a possible brain bleed I shouldnt have been waiting 4 hours to discover that, given other cases in the waiting room didnt appear to be as urgent.
