5 /5 Kym Zaja: I attended a birthday party here over the weekend in the main hall. What a beautiful place! The lake is right there, I missed the sunset picture but we saw it from the hall and it was gorgeous! Heres some pictures I eventually took! Plenty of parking available and there were some men fishing for Bluegill and bass. Looks like a great spot for fishing!

5 /5 Lilian D: This place has many options to spend the day. if you have little kids the trees over the playground are the best, you can relax while your kid has fun! There also are tables near to the playground for a good snack time, sand volleyball courts and soccer fields!!

4 /5 Cheryl Brown: My son had his wedding hear and it was a nice place. Its a good size place to rent for large groups. Bathrooms were clean but needed improvement. We saw people fishing but they didnt have any luck when we asked. There was picknick tables and a playground too.

5 /5 Stephanie Giles: This is such a lovely place to stop off on the way to/from Orlando if you have the time. Lots of picnic tables and shade, and a lovely boardwalk/fishing pier. Good spot for birdwatching. Wheelchair accessible picnic pavilion. Restrooms, water fountains, small playground area. You can rent space in the large screened in structure for events. This is my new lunch spot whenever Im in the area, a little shady picnic and birdwatching just a few minutes off the Turnpike.

Discovery Gardens - Tavares

Athena DeFelice: Lovely little park with a number of differently themed gardens and plenty of benches throughout. Entry is free, and it takes maybe 20-30 minutes if youre just strolling. Some gardens are full sun and others lots of shade. With the way we walked it, it felt like we came upon shady sections right as the sun was getting to be too much.

Dave Cope: Had a great two hour cruise around the lake!!! Definitely recommend doing if you’re in the area. The boat itself was comfortable and safe. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Having a full bar and snacks was also a nice touch.

Mandilynne: The staff is all very informative and friendly. The aviary was filled with eagles, hawks, and more. I highly recommend taking the trail through the woods, it was well-maintained. There are so many critters, birds, and reptiles to see!

Edison & Ford Winter Estates - Fort Myers

Wyatt Woolsey: The history behind these two individuals is amazing. I visited here with my mom about 35 years ago, when I was just a kid and from what I remember then it was still really amazing. This time around, as an adult, it was a totally different experience as I was able to really comprehend just what these individuals were able to create and the bi d that they had between them. Its mind blowing to see just what Edison had his hands in and where alot of what we know today got its start. It was unfortunate that they were doing massive renovations when we came through this time, as there were some areas my wife and I didnt get to see, but that is more than understandable and it is amazing to know that renovations are being carried out at such an amazing part of American history. My wife loved it and it was awesome being back for the history and fir the nostalgia. I would definitely recommend anyone that is visiting the area to go spend some time here.

Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve - Fort Myers

Marc Meier: A really nice nature trail that is very inexpensive! You only have to pay for parking which is roughly 1$ per hour. Then you can take the 1.5 mile wooden trail through the woods. There you can see a lot of exciting wildlife like birds, squirrels, turtles and much more. Along the trail are nicely positioned outposts where you can either have a view of a lake or a wildlife hanging spot. There is a free restroom to use and most of the time there is a guide at the entrance to help you with any questions you might have. All in all a very exciting trail that you should definitely check out.
