  • Tallahassee Museum - Tallahassee Melaine Shaw: When I visit Tallahassee, FL, this place is always a must do and see!! If you like zoos, this is probably one of the best, but you wont see every animal like you would at a regular zoo!! This is a State Park, and they take in wild animals that may have been injured, abandoned, or whatever else may happen to the wild animals in their natural habitat.
Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park - Monticello Wind Tree Studios: Photos do not do justice to the size and beauty of this historic site. Although mostly overgrown with vegetation and trees, the mound is still clearly visible as you approach it from the parking area. You can also enjoy a decent view looking out from the top of the mound itself. There are also excellent museum quality educational displays and an excellent mural here as well. The energy here is quiet and grounded, making for a wonderful and relaxing experience overall.
Aucilla Wildlife Management Area - Monticello Deborah Iden: We go here most every weekend! Its so quiet and peaceful. Theres so much to see, find and discover. There are no tickets to purchase. Its free wherever you go.
Monticello Ecological Park - Monticello Christian Marais: This park is on the same road as county municipal office. Supposed to be a flagship project, it was a really great park but has seen little to no maintenance. Still open but Hurricane Helene officially took the little it had remaining. A dozer has recently been through however debris/burn piles remain high along the trail, much of the infrastructure is destroyed, and the trail is in poor condition. We hope this only city park can shine again.
Monticello Vineyards & Winery - Monticello Cynthia Orocofsky: Cynthia was a wonderful hostess. She told us about the farm and her adventures. She took the time with us to truly enjoy the wines and experience. Highly recommend
    Little Blue Springs - Monticello
Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park - Live Oak Meadow thorne: There are multiple Springs at this location. This is more than a dolphin scuba diving area. Its not really set up for kids.Or big groups very beautiful when theyre clear. Not the prettiest when theyre flooded excellent cave diving or if youre a mermaid practicing
Troy Springs State Park - Branford Noble Notary & Legal Document Preparers: Very scenic and a nice place to explore. Unfortunately, the swimming area was STILL closed.
Adams Tract River Camp - Mayo Michael Pool: Best campground this side of the Mississippi. The screened shelters are reservation based, but if you’d can get one it’s an incredible camping experience. Camp host has always been friendly and even gave us some frozen water bottles on our last trip.
Dowling Park River Camp - Mayo John Churchill: There is no camp host at this site, so it is not maintained as well as other camps on the river. One of the bathrooms has an A/C unit that isnt working, so there are only two that are usable right now.
