5 /5 LP Tnr: A former Gilded Age hotel - the Ponce de León Hotel - turned local college - this building clearly embodies the extravagance of the ultra-wealthy of the era. Commissioned by railroad tycoon Henry Flagler (hence the name) along with the two large buildings across the street as he sought to develop the eastern coast of Florida while concurrently laying his railroad, it feels impressive marveling at the intricacy put into these architectural works, and interesting to learn how they fit into Florida’s history. As it is used as a college now, you can only tour the foyer, the former grand parlor room, courtyard, and dining hall but it is still worth it in my opinion and informative. Our student tour guide did a great job.

My family and I took this tour the week of the 4th of July 2023 and it was one of the best things we did in St. Augustine. Highly recommend buying tickets in advanced online to make sure the tour isn’t fully booked. The tour takes place at the actual college - you will meet for the tour inside Flagler (entrance has a statue and is directly across the street from the Lightner Museum). Our tour guide did an amazing job explaining the history, background, and inspiration for the college and its prior history as a hotel. Walking is limited to the college and isn’t agressive. Highly recommend spending the $15+ to get out of the heat.

St. Augustine History Museum - St. Augustine Nelson Roman: We bought the tickets there with no wait. Stella at Jail museum and uncle Vince at the old history were phenomenal. They put us back in time explaining everything and displaying neat artifacts from the 1800s. The troll around the city is a little redundant and it takes 1:45 to go trough 22 stops. You can’t stop and enjoy wine, liquor distillery and take the next trolly. Make sure to get the sticker on your shirt. It’s a pretty neat little town with lots of history. There is a sand lot Parking next door, so it provides enough space if you are driving. Half of the tour is the downtown , so you can walk and adventure yourself. Def will recommend it to friends and family

Villa Zorayda Museum - St. Augustine Emily Hahnel: I LOVE the aesthetic of this place! The decor & architecture are gorgeous! And the collection is fascinating. From cigar cutters to stained glass light fixtures and a princess staircase... who would have known from the outside? I also love the fact that this location served as a speakeasy during prohibition. Kind of puts things into perspective... you really feel the environment the cast of characters played in back then.

Ripleys Haunted Castle Tour - St. Augustine Amanda Harper: Staff is rude and ready to end their shift. Creepy at night but absolutely nothing going on. And they wouldnt let us (paying guests) use the restrooms and started our tour 5 minutes early because they were just tired of being there. Definitely go to a different ghost investigation!

Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center - St. Augustine Ashantae Green: I recently visited The Lincolnville Museum, and it was an incredible experience! The museum offers a deep and rich insight into the history and culture of the African American community in St. Augustine. I was truly moved by the exhibits, which are not only informative but also beautifully curated to tell the powerful stories of resilience, strength, and hope. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, eager to share the significance of each artifact and piece of history. I left with a newfound appreciation for the contributions and struggles of those who helped shape this community. Whether youre a history buff or just looking to learn more about the local culture, The Lincolnville Museum is a must-visit. I highly recommend it!

Black Raven Pirate Ship - St. Augustine Burn After reading: We had a blast. The staff are very kind. Drinks are decently priced. Great views of Saint Augustine and Anastasia island.

Historic St Augustine - St. Augustine Richard Shires: Downtown was a blast. Plenty of shopping and eating while enjoying history. No matter if you are on an "adult" trip, romantic trip, or family trip, there is plenty for all to enjoy. The locals were inviting, downtown was clean, and the views were breathtaking. There are plenty of historical sites to stop and read. I was here on business, but will definitely bring my family back for a vacation.

St. Augustine Scenic Cruise - St. Augustine O Cheryl (Cher): Was nice, but it would have been better if they stopped when there was the sunset.

Potters Wax Museum - St. Augustine Dan Blakeslee: This is the oldest wax museum in America, and its ancient roadside attraction history makes amends for its small footprint. And even with that shortcoming, it still beats some of the other wax museums Ive visited. Its small but dense. There are a lot of figures crammed together into various sections, and you really have to take your time to comb through them. I personally feel the quality and accuracy of Potters figures exceed that of the standard wax figure. You dont often find yourself thinking, "I know who that is, but it doesnt really look like them." I also appreciate the free little museum in their lobby. If you are checking out the attractions in St. Augustine, this is a great stop.

ACCORD Civil Rights Museum - St. Augustine s n: I had a wonderful time at the Accord civil rights museum as they celebrated Mrs. Cora Tysons birthday and she is living history and over 102 years old and still she is "sharp as a tac" and beautiful. Thank you Accord and Mrs. Tyson for reminding us as a city and nation just how far weve come.

2 Old Town Trolley Welcome Center - St. Augustine Paul W. Peel: We started with Joe as our driver and he was great and full of knowledge. Sadly we got off and and later got on a different trolley and had Katie as a driver and she is not good at all. She seemed confused and gave information that seemed just made up. As a whole the tour is probably a good tour with the right driver. Just hop off if you get Katie.
