1 /5 Borisevich Anastasia: We ended up at Holtz Children’s Hospital ER by chance when I noticed something in my child’s ear that looked like a tick. I deeply regret coming here.
After waiting for 3 hours, all they did was check my child’s temperature and blood pressure and then use a simple swab to remove a tiny object from her ear. The bill? A shocking $1,956!
The staff at the hospital was polite and friendly, but no one warned us about the pricing. There were no price lists anywhere, and at no point did anyone mention how much such a simple procedure would cost. Had I known, I would have gone elsewhere.
Our insurance covered half of it, leaving us with a $978 balance. I contacted them multiple times - called, sent an official letter, spoke with a representative - asking for an adjustment. No luck. Today, I got a call from debt collectors demanding full payment.
I do not recommend this ER.
