1 /5 Barbara Hunter: Showed up 6 minutes before appointment time. Rude receptionist told me I was supposed to be there 30 minutes early to do any paperwork. This was not mentioned in the phone reminder or the e-mail message. I still had the proof on my phone. Regardless, she told me if I could not complete the paperwork by the time of my appointment, I would have to reschedule. In my 26 years of nursing, I have NEVER heard of such a thing. She insisted that I had to complete several pages of questions as if I were a new patient, simply because I hadnt been seen in the past year. I assured her there were no changes in my meds, diagnoses, address, allergies, etc. No matter. Of course, I was not able to finish the paperwork in 6 minutes, despite my best effort. She called me to the window and informed me that I had to reschedule. She never, not once, asked me why I was there in the first place. Fact was, I had a serious fall at home that resulted in an ER visit for an eye/facial injury and had torn my bicep tendon. All I needed that day was an Orthopedic referral. I had copies of the ER visit and the MRI. Didnt matter. Appointment didnt happen. No disrespect to Dr. Whitfield, she is great, however, her front office staff is anything but. I would not recommend this practice.
