1 /5 BJ: Shady business practices. Mid April my mother had her car(2013 Malibu go ahead an look it up John) towed to this location. Car wouldnt "turn"(interior lights were flickering, when trying to start car). They replaced spark plugs and replaced starter.
For some reason these people were not experienced enough to let her know her alternator was dead.
Went to pick up the car, the car is still struggling to turn. I had to buy a new battery since the dying alternator was draining the battery and not charging it during transit.
I took brand new alternator to them and asked that they have it place it in the car. I also SPECIFICALLY asked NOT to install or modify anything else on the car. If theyre too incompetent to realize the alternator is bad even though the symptoms are clear, then we only need them to install the new one, seems easy enough for a shop thats been open for so many years. There were two men present at the time, the owner and a mechanic at the front desk that heard these instructions. The next day they call my mother stated that the water pump needs to replaced. My mother on the phone instructed them NOT to install the water pump and just leave it. My mother then gets a call from the store the following day that due to bad communication the water pump was still installed.
My mother was still required to pay the price for a modification of her vehicle that she DID NOT AUTHORIZE.
At the time my mother couldnt afford to pay for another modification, which is why she informed them to HOLD OFF on replacing water pump.
Long story short even after the water pump was installed the car is STILL not turning properly, it takes several turns to start. These people will play with your car and install what they want and not fix the issue in order have you keep coming back.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
I will be following up with BBB. If you need more info about my experience pleas email me I can give you more details.
Look at other reviews youll see similar complaints about recommending repairs that have nothing to do with the actual issue in order to stretch work hours and get more out of your pocket. BUYER BEWARE.
****Going to pass on the extra help or extra discussion. When you called her to let her know you guys messed up and had a communication issue, THAT was when proper, and honest customer service shouldve been provided. You took the payment for the unauthorized install even after admitting error and still charged her, and then proceeded to go about your day. Only after I left a review do you now decide to "make it right for her". The car no longer works.
Youll have to deal with God.
