Lafayette Park - Apalachicola (FL)

5 /5 Anna Parker: Beautiful path to walk through with a board walk to the ocean for a breathtaking view and a cool breeze. Lots of history at this location to read and learn. Nice playground for children and plenty of benches to set and enjoy the peaceful serenity.

4 /5 Dusty R: Very pretty city park. I imagine it makes a lovely venue for small events. I came for the unusual 2-headed cabbage palm and wasnt disappointed. There is a string of habitat signs on the bay side that leave the impression that the view of the water was perhaps cleared before. Its probably healthier and safer in storms to have the natural green buffer now. Lots of kids were playing in the playground, and the fishing pier was being used as well, but the strolling area I was in was empty.

5 /5 Dale Cox: Lafayette Park, developed in 1832, is stunning. It features the highest point in Apalachicola and offers beautiful oaks and palms, a gazebo, a promenade with benches along the bluff overlooking Apalachicola Bay, a long pier extending out into the bay, interpretive markers, stunning views, and a spectacular setting in a beautiful Victorian neighborhood.

3 /5 Cabrera Jorge (Yorch): If you want to walk and have a little fresh air by the sea, it is desirable... but I do not recommend it for swimming, the place itself is only for passing through, the Park is abandoned, they should fix the ground and its surroundings.
