1 /5 Patrice Frederique: If you’re Black and want quality hair care, I wouldn’t recommend this salon. I went in for a wash and set (wash, blow-dry, and straighten) but had a terrible experience.
First, my hair was washed three times without any conditioner—already a red flag. Then, three to five different people started blow-drying my wet, unconditioned, and untangled hair. It felt chaotic, and no one was properly detangling or handling my hair with care. In total, six people worked on my hair, which seemed excessive and unprofessional.
On top of that, the owner gave me a haircut that left my hair butchered. Pricing was also unclear—there were no set prices, so I had to trust whatever number they gave me. To make matters worse, they were more focused on selling me products than actually taking care of my hair.
If you had a better experience, good for you. But personally, I regret spending my money here. If a salon is going to serve diverse clients, they should hire someone who knows how to work with Black hair or take the time to learn. Lesson learned—I won’t make this mistake again.
