5 /5 Kathleen Davey: I had a total knee replacement today at Melbourne Surgery Center. I was welcomed @b6am by a friendly receptionist who efficiently completed necessary forms. The nurse who prepared me for my procedure, was knowledgeable and proficient. The anesthesia team was amazingly kind and adept. The physical therapist BJ and nurses were so fantastic,! My husband and I were treated with kindness and respect. I was so nervous on arrival, although when I left I was so thankful for the entire professional staff. Thank you again.

1 /5 D: Avoid this place like the plague. Thankfully my doctor uses more than this place and I was able to get it moved. Their MO is to try to force you to pay everything they "THINK" you will owe. If you read other reviews, what will happen is , your insurance will kick back alot of the "junk charges" after the surgery. Leaving you with a much lower out of pocket. However if you pay their fees , good luck getting them to pay it back. They will drag it out for months. I refuse to work with any place that tries to collect the full amount before insurance runs it and we get a EOB. The mere thought of asking something for $1500 (Mind you this is with Veteran Affairs health insurance even) before they do the surgery is absurd. They are getting 75% of their money guaranteed upfront, then they can bill the patient afterwards. Also worth mentioning that if you have a bunch of appointments leading up to the surgery (like we do) your deductible would be going down , way down, because you are meeting the deductible but need time for the filings to catch up. This place is predatory and tell your doctor to schedule you anywhere else. They need to know about this shady practice so they stop doing business with them.

5 /5 Jackie Kelly: I have a special needs son who can be very difficult when our schedule is changed as it will be when one must have a medical procedure done. The staff at this center was so understanding, supportive, and compassionate. They were all awesome!

3 /5 Tara Bailey: While the staff is wonderful, it’d be nice for a policy to be implemented where those waiting to get text updates that their loved one is now in surgery, is finished with surgery and in recovery. Thus far, I’ve requested an update from a procedure that should have been an hour or so, three hours in, I still haven’t been updated. Very distressing as I’ve been to other places where updates are provided and stress level is far less.

5 /5 Sherri Riggs: I had surgery at this facility this morning. I had superior care by my 2 nurses at preop and procedure room portion! Thank you Lisa R and Maddie for keeping me company while waiting and just being such kind, caring nurses! They were both so knowledgeable and professional but also human and compassionate. Brian Rye take notice of these 2!! Also, the young lady who checked me in was amazing too!
