1 /5 Joseph Anderson: I had CarSheild insurance and was recommended to Mikes Performance. My timing chain broke and they tried saying it was beyond repair and needed a new engine which CarSheild would not cover. They said they pulled valve covers and diagnosed it which they never did and charged me $580 for nothing. They wanted me to buy an engine through one of their suppliers which was $13000 dollars. I found a motor with a 5 year warranty for $6700 and they refused to install it because they could not make a fortune on it. I found another honest shop that fixed my Range Rover for half of what Mikes wanted. They also lied to CarSheild which caused me even more problems. Unless you want to pay twice as much or even more for repairs I would stay away from them

5 /5 Richard Cagley: Mike is an honest, rockstar mechanic! I called to ask if hed inspect a car that I wanted to buy. But rather than take my $ to do the inspection, Mike told me ALL the likely issues Id likely experience with this particular brand then suggested a couple alternatives. Thank you, Mike, for making the world a better place!

1 /5 Matthew: I had work done a while ago and come to find out. They didnt actually fix anything I paid thousands for. Charcoal canister is the original never got changed, paid for new suspension parts and I did get new bushings but non of the bars which I paid for were replaced. Paid for ujoints and noticed the truck was still clicking when I left so I brought it back and was told they couldnt recreate the problem. As I left it was clicking immediately out of their driveway. I paid 3,000 for a couple bandaids and almost nothing that I actually paid for. Go somewhere else.

1 /5 Emma B: Honestly hate writing this review because my family and I in the past have taken our vehicles there. Took my truck there in July of 2024 for some work that was promised to be done. Over the year I had to bring back the truck multiple times with nothing being accomplished. Throughout the times I was patient but also kept in touch and it was extremely difficult to reach them. Keep in mind I already paid for the service beforehand. I dropped my truck off and left it for a day numerous times without the owner or employees even making the time to look at it all the way up until the middle of December. Finally after 5 months and over $2100 of “diagnostics” and “contacting other people” to try and figure out what was wrong, I decided to go to another mechanic who then figured out the issue in less than a day. I would definitely not recommend taking a diesel truck to Mikes performance garage. It has now been over 8 months and he has not reached out once to see how things were working on my vehicle, and he also has my personal number. If zero stars were an option that would definitely be my selection.

5 /5 Julie Cherney: Honest, skilled and reasonably priced! I recently moved to Fort Pierce and needed a reliable place to take my 11 year old Toyota. My car has been showing its age lately with some rattles, squeaks and minor leaks and I wasnt sure where to turn. I decided to give Mikes Performance Garage a chance and Im so glad I did! James, one of the mechanics and the guy who answers the phone, is professional, respectful, and takes time to explain things clearly without ever making me feel uncomfortable for not knowing much about cars. The last repair was a fairly large one - water pump etc. - and the next week, my car started making a rattling noise. I was dismayed, to say the least. I called and they got me in right away over my lunch hour to take a look at it. While I was waiting for their inspection, Mike, the owner, bought me lunch at the taco truck thats on his lot on Fridays - and Wow! It was delicious! Thanks again for lunch, Mike! When the car was in the hoist, I asked if they could give me their opinion on if I should start saving for a new car. Mike, the owner, actually took me under my car to show me the undercarriage, explain what he saw and give me his opinion about the condition. Turns out the rattle was a bracket that had rusted and come loose. Not a big deal and they didnt even charge me to fix it or for their time! He was patient, kind and professional and I drove away feeling much more confident about my cars reliability. If you are looking for a dependable local shop that delivers fair, on-time service, Mikes Performance Garage is the place to go!
