3 /5 pharaohchin: I have to wonder if I really needed a fuel pump, considering the Check Engine light came back on. Another mechanic did a smoke test (something Auto Doctor said they never heard of) and found a crack in the intake manifold. Look at that! The light went away! Similar rich/lean issues result from a manifold crack.
Anyway, basic maintenance with these guys can take over a week because theyre so busy. Theyre good for basics. They dont seem to put deep thought into larger problems. Theyre attitude for a major repair was, "If you wanna hire me for the job, Ill do the job." But they wouldnt say if they felt qualified to do the job or if they thought it was a wise, economic idea.
Last bit... You offered to junk one of my vehicles for $300 that I later sold for $4000. Would you have really junked it?
