  • Cypress Springs - Jesse Harris: This is a stunning location for a day of swimming in refreshingly cool water. However, access requires a boat, kayak, or similar. Busy in the summer by locals but a great time. Rope swings and a spot to jump into a 25-30 foot deep hole provides much entertainment!
East Pittman Creek Landing - Bonifay Harrison Hogan Annette (AHarrisonH): Picnic tables with pits to have nice family outing. Boat ramp is steep,so pier has several drops of steps. It doesnt get very close to the water so I didnt attempt to fish here. I saw on port a potty so nowhere to wash hands etc.
Ponce de Leon Springs State Park. - Ponce De Leon Cathy Houston: When its 70 outside and 69 in the water, its very refreshing. That was our experience in February. There were only five other people there when we were. Up to 9 little fish came up and surrounded me. Its deep enough to swim but not dive. I suggest water shoes.
City of Chipley - Jim Trawick Park - Chipley Amanda Ackman: The play structures are really nice but need shade. There are no restrooms on the west end and the ones on the east end are gross. The tennis courts are in decent shape and the ball fields are well kept.
Big Pine Lane Boat Launch - Vernon W G French: Have not used this ramp in couple of years. Then it would quickly reach capacity with no where to park. I use another ramp and motor up to cypress. When i went by on sunday — it was chaos here.
South Beach Park - Vero Beach Dani MCDonald: 5/29/25 stopped by on our drive to Fort Lauderdale. By the time we got here it was too hot for the dog, sand was hot, but location is beautiful!
Vero Beach Museum of Art - Vero Beach Haven: I really liked & enjoyed this museum… truly hospitable front desk & security staff. Joyce the sculptor tour guide for the JOHN MILLER Glass Diner Exhibits was very nice. She provided details about the history and the making of each piece… it was truly appreciated to have learned the background of these spectacular displays. Additional Art that a literally “Picture Perfect”. The museum’s layout was nice, very clean & presentable. The outdoor grounds were quite nice and the location of the museum is within walking distance to veteran’s memorial park. Parking is free and the museum’s entry fee was reasonably priced. Highly recommend a visit to this nice museum.
Indian River Citrus Museum - Vero Beach Haven: This museum is small (one room) .. thank you Kathleen for crash educational course on the history of Indian County citrus. Donation base entry. I did enjoy the different logos used throughout the years!
Royal Palm Pointe Park - Vero Beach Edgardo Torres: We stopped to eat and saw this little park not far from the restaurant actually on the same street. It has parking the entrance has a gate they close. Located just before you enter are the restrooms and a soft drink machine , soon as you enter there is a children fountain pad area for them to get wet. We went on a Sunday the sign said it shuts off 3 pm. They have benches for the parents to sit. This park is on the Indian river waterway, there is a small dock for fishing or just watching the boats traffic. If you bring your small children beware the dock doesnt have any fencing you can just walk right off and into the water. The park is small a nice walk after a big meal . The photos show the entire park . We enjoyed it for an hour.
McKee Botanical Garden - Vero Beach Brandi M.: Absolutely beautiful garden to walk around and enjoy. Spacious and beautifully maintained grounds. Nice and quiet. Not as much wildlife as others Ive been to. Mostly just lizards. Not too much was in bloom but the Lillys. All of the Lilys were in bloom. It was incredibly hot outside but it was still a good time. Honestly the 2 most impressive things there were the cypress stump outside, over a thousand years old. Absolutely massive. And I found a snake skin next to it so that was neat! And inside they have a building with the absolute longest single slab of wood for a table I have EVER seen. Very impressive. I wondered if it was from the cypress stump out front.
