1 /5 Kim Schroeder: Attention all HCM/HOCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) patients. Do you love to be gaslighted by your cardiologist and told that all your symptoms are due to "hysteria" and anxiety? Do you love being told nothing is wrong with you, yet get carted off by ambulance to the ER 5 times in a matter of 14 months because your heart rate is dipping into the 20s and your BP is 70 over 30?? Do you love having tens of thousands of dollars owed to hospitals, all to be told nothing is wrong with you and told by your doctor dont go to Mayo Clinic becausehe can handle it? Do you love getting sicker and sicker and have your cardiologist tell you its only emotional? Well, then this is the heart doctor for you! 2 straight years I went through this with Dr. Hazday. This "HOCM specialist" took on my case a few months post septal myectomy and I had norhing BUT pushback and problems with him. He convinced me I didnt need Mayo in Jax. He convinced me all these issues were psychiatric. Which they clearly are not. I trusted him and now I no longer have quality or life. All he has done is made things so much worse for my heart. Tried to convince me that I didnt know my own body. Symptoms dont lie and he convinced me to not listen to my body. Finally fired him and went back to Mayo in Jacksonville. Finally being listened to. Sorry doc.. .last I checked anxiety doesnt cause bradycardia. Thanks for making me even sicker than I already was. Im sure Dr. Hazday was good in his prime. But, no longer. My heart is so damaged now from him blowing me off and ignoring my symptoms and trying to convince me its all anxiety. I can no longer work or even walk outside. Do yourself a favor and go to the South Florida Cleveland Clinic. Unless of course you desire to be treated poorly, gaslit and just add on more chronic conditions that were not there to begin with. He does not know what he is doing. End of story. Center of excellence? Please, spare me. The ONLY reason he was marked as a COE is because of the moneys paid to a certain organization. Do your research!
