Chris, the owner, is great to work with—honest, knowledgeable, and always makes sure things get done right. The whole team is solid, and they’ve kept my vehicles running smoothly without any hassle. It’s hard to find a shop you can trust with this many vehicles, but Race Ready has definitely earned it. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for reliable, professional service.

We tow our Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel behind our motorhome by putting the transmission in neutral, but just before a big trip, it refused to shift. I booked an appointment online on a Saturday and was at Race Ready Auto Repair first thing Monday morning. They first replaced the Transfer Case Shift Motor, then ordered a new Drive Train Control Module—no longer manufactured. When the wrong part arrived from a salvage yard, Becka went above and beyond, spending hours tracking down a correct, new module. Still no luck shifting into neutral. That’s when Chris stepped in and meticulously traced the wiring, discovering a botched past repair with poorly soldered wires. When a replacement connector couldn’t be sourced, he custom-built one using parts on hand—ingenious! During a test drive, they also noticed brake issues and diagnosed rear wheel bearings making noise (we had assumed it was just tire noise). The team completed a full brake job and, when a specialty tool was needed for the bearings and couldn’t be sourced—even from a dealer—they fabricated their own. Incredibly resourceful! Although the repairs took longer than expected, our Jeep now drives better than it ever has. Even with all the extra work, Race Ready stuck to their original quote and even threw in complimentary wiper blades. We highly recommend Race Ready Auto Repair for their technical skill, creativity, and honest service. Outstanding experience from start to finish.

5 /5 V: I brought in my Volvo s60 after hearing a very strange noise upon startup. The car had just been worked on by a different mechanic at a different shop, so definitely should not have been making that noise. Instead of taking it back to the same place I usually go, I researched around and decided to take the car to Race Ready instead because of their informative website which offered lots of info about their services, including services to Volvo vehicles. It can be hard to find mechanics who are familiar with Volvos/European cars around here, but Race Ready is definitely an exception. They are very knowledgeable on ALL cars and were able to identify the issue extremely quickly. The problem was from the previous work that had been at the other shop—a simple yet crucial detail was missed and Ready Race amended it within 24 hours. Cost was reasonable and the front desk service is EXCELLENT! I cannot say enough good things about Becka, who gave me tons of information and was so helpful and kind every step of the way. I will be returning to this shop for my future car needs and would recommend it to anyone!

1 /5 NTREPID CORP agent No. 78: Steer clear of Race Ready they’re straight-up incompetent and semi disrespectful to me my baby, a rare, out-of-production gem that’s an engineering masterpiece, and they treated it like trash. The techs might be cool, but the owner, Chris, and the front desk lady tried to play and finesse me IMO. My job requires my car to stay off ANY telematic systems, and not many shops know how to handle my car’s year and make, and wiring. This is not a certified Saab shop. Instead of being real about their limits, they wasted four freaking days doing jack. At one point, they straight-up admitted, “Yo, we don’t even know how to start your car.” after a day they said its ready, so I went to the shop, when I arrived, the car wouldn’t start—magically “broken” again after they claimed it had been working “all afternoon.” When I confronted them, the front desk lady smugly remarked, “Well, now there’s a reason for it to stay longer.” I was floored by this blatant attempt to drag out the service for no legitimate reason. A subsequent test at another shop revealed the battery had only 17 cranking amps, confirming they never properly tested or repaired anything. Guess they expected me to pay the bill, and expected to drive away. I left my car there and said IDC if I got to have my friend come from Tampa with a flatbed to pick it up its not going to sit at this shop another night, especially outside exposed to the elements (this is a garage kept car) but not at rAcE reAdy, got my car started in the middle of the night on my own accord dropped a new battery in it and drove it off my car was returned in such poor condition on the outside that I had to wash it again. I took it straight to a trusted custom garage in Tampa, which fixed the issue quickly and professionally. So If you value a rare or specialized car, do yourself a favor and avoid this deceptive, ill-equipped shop. They’ll waste your time, mishandle your vehicle, and disrespect its worth with their incompetence and manipulative tactics. NEVER EVER AGAIN trust RUINED!
