5 /5 Karen Balerno: I am staying at Siesta Key for 6 weeks and was in need of a haircut. I looked at several places online and read many reviews. I happened to be in Sarasota with my mom and saw this salon and went in to inquire about getting a dip powder manicure and a haircut. The manager explained the services they offered there and offered a business card for a hair stylist and a nail technician and said they both were very good. I was very hesitant to have a haircut in a new salon while on vacation, but I really needed one after not having one since early December.
I called a couple of days later and was able to get an appointment with Em for my haircut and Shayla for my nails. Shayla did a terrific job on my nails and she took her time and was very professional. I am very pleased with the way my nails turned out.
As far as the haircut, it was honestly the very best I have ever received. Seriously, Em was really fabulous and recommended a shorter style for me, and after a little discussion I agreed. I cannot say enough about Em except she was very meticulous and detailed....a perfectionist to detail, and I could just tell that she loved her profession and took great pride in her work. I truly love my haircut and have had many compliments since. Im just disappointed that I would have to fly here to have her cut my hair on a consistent basis. I would highly recommend the Salon at the Jewel and specifically Em Samuels for a haircut and Shayla for a nail treatment. You will definitely not be disappointed with the result for the service they provide to you.
