5 /5 Keith David: Fantastic museum, definitely make this part of your day at the springs! Awesome collection of fossils from the local area, many found on site at Silver Springs. A good mix of paleontology and archaeology exhibits, everything from early BC to the steamboat era. The layout is very professional and clean, quality on par with many larger facilities. Lots of families visiting but never felt crowded even on a busy Saturday. Had a nice time walking around outside looking at the old cabins and antique glass bottom boats too. Would be glad to visit again and recommend for all ages!

5 /5 Linda Maloney: Museum was cool. Had alot of relics and interesting facts . Dinosaur bones etc but we mainly went on the nature trails. We went on the swamp trail. Great walk. 1.9 miles. Easy

4 /5 Craig Quinn: We visited this on a weekend. It has a lot of history centered around silver springs. It has sections explaining the underground water systems, canoe building, steam boats, movies that were made in the area. Its a very interesting place to visit. Staff was friendly and interactive. You have to have cash to get in the museum itself and you have to pay a park admission fee to get to the museum.

5 /5 Elena S: Oh my goodness!! I’m sure you’ve heard that expression, “a hidden gem!” Well, this Museum is definitely one of those! Visiting family this weekend, we decided to go on an explore and went to Silver Springs State Park which has several walking trails to explore. We decided upon the River Trail which leads you to a beautiful river setting. Returning from the shore, we decided to explore the Silver River Museum. Amazing exhibits! So educational and informative, interactive and intriguing. An excellent place for children and adults alike. From the outside, the place looked rather small. Little did we know that inside the building, there are multiple rooms and display areas. I know we’ll be going back.

5 /5 Sarah Winklbauer: Weve spent literal hours here both times weve visited, and we could easily have spent hours more. This museum is packed with exhibits, detailing the history of the region all the way back to before the Ice Age, with a significant emphasis on how Indigenous peoples shaped not just this area, but the world. Its also super affordable, and the gift shop starts at under a dollar, which is great if you have young kids. Its cash only, but admission is $2/person over age 5. We like to pack a lunch in a cooler with ice, tour the museum for an hour or two, break for a picnic lunch, and then return to the exhibits. We highly recommend the scavenger hunts for both kids and adults! This has become one of our favorite spots to visit.
