5 /5 LittleLocal Guide: This is a fantastic place for kids and families. It features a scenic walking trail, a beautiful pond, and is perfect for walking your dog or enjoying a stroll. The park also includes a tennis court, basketball court, and a baseball field. Around the park, there’s a Discovery Center that offers even more to explore. It’s a great spot to visit with plenty of activities for everyone.

Theres a tennis court and basketball court right by the playground with a sidewalk/trial entrance. Theres a little baseball field and a Childrens Discovery center right across the street from everything as well.

5 /5 Ruben Lozada: I recall the first time I visited this park was in 2017, while visiting family. I didnt even know this park existed. Its an excellent park to visit and has a lot of random artwork on display throughout the park. Im definitely planning on visiting here again this year as weatherand time permits me to.

5 /5 Juan de Dios Rivero: The beauty of this park is stunning, well maintained, clean, and safe, I recommend the playground for your children. If you want to exercise, walk, or run, there are plenty of walking driveways. Ill say again, perfect place peacefully and beautiful. Also, that park is an Arts Gallery. Every corner has beatifulls sculptures most off the modern pieces, all identified with the authors name. This is a quiet place easy to find park and enjoy.

Appleton Museum of Art - Ocala

Tatiana Vachon: We loved our visit to the museum today. It was our first time and it happened to be free. We did a donation and would have been okay with paying the regular price of $10. They have very nice collections and exhibits. We loved the American, African, Asian and European pieces. Really outstanding. Thank you for creating and maintaining this beautiful museum. We would love to visit again soon.

The Canyons Zip Line and Adventure Park - Ocala

Tracy w: Ireland, Megan and Ash were great guides. Latte is a sweet horse that gently goes through the trail. It was a great time and a very beautiful place. I took my own photos and bought the photo package they did of my group. I had an awesome time. Thank you for the great experience.

Sonya Bx3: Beautiful paved, winding, walking paths surrounded by nature. Safe. Away from noisy roads. Convenient parking. Bathrooms and water fountains. Many pleasant people walking and running on trails but not crowded. My favorite place to easily walk 3 miles or more.

Samantha Latham: Thoroughly enjoyed our escape room!! Game moderator helped clues as needed. Very clean and brand new building! And affordable! Best price in town (Gainesville location) compared to other escape rooms. We had so much fun!! Booking online was easy as well.

Brianna Clark: Great park! There are lots of things to do here, including a splash pad! We have been here a few times now, and the kiddos love it. There are clean restrooms available, a nice walking track with exercise equipment located around it, a basketball court, and even a community center nearby, as well.

Shahedul Islam: Such a serene beautiful spring. The crystal clear water and the boat tour in a sunny summer day is what your looking for. The glass-bottom boat is the champ, kayaking, hiking is also awesome. Very reasonably priced with great food and amenities.

Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park - Ocala

Sponge Bob: We visited the Veterans Memorial Park in February, 2025. I was pleasantly surprised on how well and inclusive of folks who served both directly in the military and in support roles. I spent time walking around and reading the tributes. All I can say is well done. The folks who built this park did a fine job that they can be proud of. I don’t think they left anybody out who deserves at least some recognition. Even the merchant marine folks were recognized for their contributions. They covered different wars, skirmishes and historical events that I found appropriate to be mentioned and recognized. I wish I had the time to read everything, but that wasn’t to be. The wife accompanied me there and also found it interesting and well done. Normally she isn’t overly enthusiastic about my historical parks and museum visits. But this was one of them that she truly enjoyed. That tells me something. I was there late morning and the sun did give me problems trying to take picture. Oh well. The only negative for me was some of the exhibits are having weather related damage that can make them hard to read. The sun made it worse, and blocking the sun did help. All in all, one of, if not the best Veterans park that I have been to. Well done.

Heritage Nature Conservancy - Ocala

Joel Hancock: This quiet little park is easy to miss if you’re just driving by, but it’s a hidden gem. I bring my kid here a few times a month in the evenings to get some fresh air, stretch our legs, and enjoy the wildlife. The park features a small variety of exercise stations and kid-friendly obstacles. Our favorites are the rope pyramid for climbing and the merry-go-round. Though small, the park has a concrete trail that loops around and lets you see everything. Toward the back, there’s a large bat house that’s home to several species of bats. A few times, we’ve been lucky enough to spot owls perched in the trees, likely waiting for the bats to emerge at dusk. Be prepared for some strange smells near the bat house during the summer, but it’s a unique feature you won’t find in most parks. On the opposite side, there’s a beautifully designed man-made creek made of natural stone—it’s definitely worth checking out. The park is always clean, with minimal litter, and there’s usually a park employee around keeping an eye on things. It’s a peaceful, well-kept spot for a casual evening outing with a bit of nature and fun for the kids.
