  • Tavares Nature Park - Tavares Ashley Peterson: These trails are well maintained. Peaceful wilderness close to a residential area. Bathrooms at the Trailhead are clean. Not many people when I went. Dog friendly as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.
Summerall Park - Tavares Stephanie Saunders: Very Kool atmosphere at night. Walked the dock with a friend and looked for snail shells found a few. Well maintained with a cute place to sit and have a bite to eat. Overall lovely experience.
Jungle Zone - Tavares DJ Jiles: We had a bday party there for my grand daughter. It was kind of warm in there but they had the place packed with children and had the AC running wide open so they were doing their best to keep it cool. The kids had an awesome time playing on the bounce houses. The rooms for the parties were kind of small but it was big enough to get all the kids fed and open presents. Overall a good time.
Hickory Point Recreation Park - Tavares Kym Zaja: I attended a birthday party here over the weekend in the main hall. What a beautiful place! The lake is right there, I missed the sunset picture but we saw it from the hall and it was gorgeous! Heres some pictures I eventually took! Plenty of parking available and there were some men fishing for Bluegill and bass. Looks like a great spot for fishing!
Aesops Park - Tavares Bri Zee: Secluded, quiet and rural. Only downfall is the homeless presence because a lot of trash and random things are left behind from their camps in the woods. My favorite part of this park is the community garden!!
Palm Island Park - Mt Dora Jerrold Fallstrom: Palm Island Park is a spectacular place to take a walk on the boardwalk. You can usually expect to see some gators and some pretty Florida birds. My wife and I saw a huge gator on a recent visit and it was an amazing site. It’s an old Florida experience that you do not want to miss. If friends or relatives come for a visit you want to bring them here!
Tavares Park - Tavares Ronda Deaton: So nice and clean. Grass cut nice. Nice place for picnic and the fountain just adds more beauty.
Lighthouse Walk - Mt Dora Peter Lehel: Beautiful stroll through downtown and onto the Port of Mt Dora with the Lighthouse. Spectacular views of the lake and port.
Discovery Gardens - Tavares Athena DeFelice: Lovely little park with a number of differently themed gardens and plenty of benches throughout. Entry is free, and it takes maybe 20-30 minutes if youre just strolling. Some gardens are full sun and others lots of shade. With the way we walked it, it felt like we came upon shady sections right as the sun was getting to be too much.
Ferran Park - Eustis Don Arnold: Great lakeside park for adults and children. Sunsets over the lake can be beautiful.
