5 /5 Christy B: I was so humbled to hear my family history, and this is where my fathers family started and heard from my father growing up ,and telling our guide what my father told me to hear more about it . That my family was great friends with the Native Americans.And to visit with my cousins was awesome too. And to sign to book of who you are and so this is my family. And that the row how houses next to it was my family too. This is a must to see . After seeing the house and walking down the street, you feel like youre back in time.

1 /5 Going with the Gadings: Tried visiting on suggestion from workers from Historic Pensacola. We showed up between 3/3:30 (hours listed on here are 12-4 M-F. The doors were locked and curtains drawn. No hours posted anywhere there either.

5 /5 Nomad Travler: WONDERFUL place to visit. Oldest house on the original plot in Pensacola. Lot of good information given on the tour and seeing the upstairs was really interesting. Free, donations accepted. If you are local and looking for a place to volunteer you may want to check this place out.

2 /5 Jennifer messer: The house itself is interesting.. lots of old stuff inside to check out. But be wary of the old guy inside.. he’s rude and grouchy!! You would think he would be there to entice people to come in and have a look but he’s so rude that the place rarely gets visited! I NEVER see anyone enter the place. Maybe it’s time to retire him and get a younger person to greet people!??

1 /5 Carmen Handrahan: Mean and rude people work there. Seriously. Was just trying to park while grandchild was having a haircut and was even going to go walk around there and this man started yelling at my kid because she had just pulled in to drop her daughter off to me. She said sorry and he ignored her! I said sir she was only there two seconds and HE YELLED shut up!!! It was hilarious and in front of 2-7year olds and a 13 year old! There lot was full so she could not park. She was just opening the door to let the oldest out. Simply embarrassing

Museum of Commerce - Pensacola Tim: Have the museum rented for a welcome dinner forecourt car show. Interior of museum is set up like an old town. Outside is historic Pensacola with folks dressed in period clothing. Highly recommend visiting.

Crystal Ice House - Pensacola Dear India Rose: A glimpse into what life was like for Floridians before people had home refrigeration and air conditioning. The ice house would sell blocks of ice to locals back in the 30s. The purchase was made through hand gestures, holding up fingers to suggest how much ice you wished to purchase. The hand signals are engraved into the stucco wall above the door. Unfortunately, there appears to be some deterioration to this building and it is fenced off with a chain link fence. Still worth a visit

Dorr House - Pensacola Dr. Rosie Ann Riley: This house was built in 1871 by Mrs. Dorr after her husband and eldest son died in 1871. What I thought was very interesting was the photo designed with the hair of a dead loved one. This was common during this era. We were told that the kitchen and boys bedroom had been modernized because someone involved with house wanted to live in it. I forgot who and details. So we only saw sitting room, dining room and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The young woman who gave tour is also at the Museum of Agriculture. She is wearing dress from early 1800’s. This is a guided tour so go to Museum of Agriculture to find out times. We toured the church at 1pm then went to house after. I recommend visiting this house if in the area and like learning about Victorian era.

Fort Pickens - Pensacola Beach Darius Vlad: You have to pay a entrance fee to get inside. But after you get in you have beautiful beaches and sand dunes up until you reach the fort. There will be a self guided tour, you can walk almost everywhere you want had have amazing sights and tunnels to explore (be aware that mose are dead ends and youll need to follow your steps back) but nonetheless the historical place is amazing to visit.

Voices of Pensacola Multicultural Center - Pensacola Buster Levin: The mural on the outside of the building is simply awesome. An incredible way to showcase the rich history of Pensacola.

Chappie James Museum of Pensacola - Pensacola Chris Hall: My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Chappie James museum. It may be one of the best done and most educational museums I have been to. Despite its small size, the knowledge imparted by the guide was amazing and the hospitality displayed by the entire staff was second to none. I highly recommend visiting this museum if you live in or are visiting Pensacola.

Fort George - Pensacola Victoria Haynie: It is a replica so dont expect it to be huge. Parking is on the street and you walk up steps to get to the cannons. It was small but neat

The displays and monuments do a great job sharing the history and honoring those who have served, both past and present. It’s clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The memorial to Marine aviation is especially moving—a proud reminder of the legacy and courage of those who have taken to the skies in service of our nation. Equally powerful is the Gold Star Families Memorial, a solemn space that honors the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Sunrise is an especially beautiful time to visit—quiet, reflective, and full of meaning as the light hits the memorials. A must-visit spot in Pensacola for anyone who wants to take a moment to appreciate the sacrifices made for our country.

Pensacola Beach Boardwalk - Pensacola Beach Shenell Mack: Lovely boardwalk that gives you the opportunity to see a variety of ocean life. We didn’t see dolphins, but schools of fish, a barracuda, and a couple of sea turtles swam by this visit. It’s a nice thing to do to enjoy beautiful weather and sightseeing.
